Andrew Jimsons’ Eagle Scout project

to landscape and fix the graves at Babylon Rural Cemetery. Both boys spent time respecting every headstone, cleaning them, and bringing new life to the legacy of every fallen soldier and civilian. Eagle Scout Andrew Jimson said some of the tombstones dated back to the revolutionary war. Councilman McSweeney was on hand to congratulate and present a proclamation to both boys, adding,”History will repeat itself. West Babylon Science Olympiad Teams Go National

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD TEAMS GO NATIONAL - On Dec. 3, more than 50 students representing West Babylon’s Science Olympiad teams competed in their first national virtual Science Olympiad competition. Three of West Babylon’s teams competed in the Dick Smith virtual tournament, a national tournament in Pennsylvania. West Babylon teams represented three of the 75 teams in this event. One West Babylon team competed in the Boyceveille virtual tournament, a sponsored national tournament from Wisconsin. This West Babylon team was one of 165 teams from throughout the country competing. From making videos of building events, such as catapults and planes, to working together to answer online exams, West Babylon students showed true team spirit as they strove to do their best against teams from throughout the country. Gentle Yoga Mondays, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, and 2/27 at 11:00 am This 5-week all-levels class is focused on moving mindfully and with ease. Each session consists of standing, prone and seated postures. The focus

is on body awareness, strengthening, stretching and the breath. Please bring a mat and a large towel or blanket. Chairs are available to help students get up and down to the floor.
