Homecoming Festivities At Amityville Memorial High School
On Sept. 28, members of the Amityville school community proudly paraded to Amityville Memorial High School during the school’s annual homecoming parade.
The parade featured the high school’s marching
band, school administrators, board members, faculty, local elected officials, cheerleaders, and students from various Amityville schools. Marchers started their journey at the LIRR Amityville station and paraded down the local
streets as onlookers cheered. Students dressed up and floats were decorated to represent this year’s theme of the fall season. Parents and supportive community members were also in attendance as they watched the group march

The high school’s cheerleading team held an amazing performance during halftime of the Amityville’s varsity football
game against the Rocky Point Eagles. Halftime celebrations concluded with the crowning of the homecoming king Adonis Lyons and queen Tiffany Asbell.
Amityville’s varsity football team played with
pride against the Rocky Point Eagles, but they lost with a final score of 28-20. The district would like to thank everyone in the Amityville school community who came out to show their support.
Students from each school building joined their principals in marching through the Village of Amityville.

Town of Babylon Hosts Successful Small Business Networking Night
The Town of Babylon proudly hosted its inaugural Small Business Networking Night on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Babylon Town Hall, organized by Councilman Anthony Manetta and the Town of Babylon Chamber of Commerce
Collaborative. This vibrant event brought together local entrepreneurs, business owners, and community members to foster connections and celebrate the spirit of small business in Babylon.
Attendees enjoyed live
music and entertainment from a DJ while sampling delicious offerings from an array of food trucks featuring BBQ, pasta, doughnuts, and coffee. Representatives from the Small Business Administration (SBA), PSEG, National Grid,
and various chambers of commerce were also on hand to provide valuable resources and support for local businesses.
Councilman Anthony Manetta expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you to everyone who
joined us, especially our hardworking Chambers of Commerce who contribute so much to our local community.” This successful event showcased the Town of Babylon’s commitment to supporting small businesses, promoting collaboration, and strengthening local economic growth.
The Town of Babylon looks forward to hosting more networking events in the future to continue nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit within the community.
