that a Special Meeting of the qualified voters of the Amityville Union Free School District (the “District”), Town of Babylon, Suffolk County and Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York will be held at the Amityville Public Library, 19 John St., Amityville, New York 11701 (the “Library”) on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, between the hours of 12:00pm (noon) and 9:00pm, for the purpose of voting on the following items:

- On March 21, Amityville Memorial High School’s gymnasium was filled with representatives from dozens of colleges and universities during the school’s Spring College Fair. Students had the opportunity to meet with representatives as they shared information on everything that their programs have to offer. Amityville Gains New Ambulance To Meet Growing Demand Through ARPA Funding From Town Of Babylon
AMITYVILLE GAINS NEW AMBULANCE TO MEET GROWING DEMAND
Village of Amityville and Amityville Fire Department gathered to acknowledge a $500,000 award, of which $250,000 was earmarked for the fully equipped ambulance and another $250,000 for improvements in recreational facilities, enabling the Village to refurbish its Village’s Little League ballfields
with artificial turf.
Mayor Siry explained that the Village’s volume of ambulance calls has gone up 5-10 % each year, saying, “This new vehicle will allow us to respond to the urgent medical needs of the community and have the back-up necessary to respond to events of any magnitude,” he added.
“Through our partnership with the Village we are happy to provide this funding to supplement the ARPA funds the Village has gotten directly. For the first time in several years, the department has a new ambulance which is a great benefit to the residents of both the Village and the Town,” said Supervisor Rich Schaffer.

thanked the Village and Town for their support, saying “This marks the first time in our department’s 119year history that it has three ALS ambulances in service. We’re here to make sure that every Village resident and beyond who has a need for an ambulance is going to have access to one.”
