t was an afternoon of dirt and daffodils for students at Northeast Elementary School in Amityville on April 23rd. In recognition of Earth Day, prekindergarten and kindergarten students got a chance to head outside in the warming sunshine and explore all there is to learn about the earth. In the front of the building, students and faculty dug holes and planted new flowers in the beds facing Albany Avenue.
