Will Personal Training Help Me in the Spartan Race Tackling a Spartan Race may seem fun and exciting in its challenges. It may seem great to face unpredictable obstacles over the course of a distance of between three and four miles. However, training for a race with so many unknowns may seem daunting. There are definites to the training process when a Spartan Race is in your future. They are outlined below.

Endurance As noted above, the race covers three to four miles and may include as many as 15 obstacles or more for a particularly challenging version of the race. Your body has to be prepared for more than a walk in the park or a short trip on a bicycle over flat terrain. Build on your endurance through various exercise plans and make sure you can stick with the program and complete the race.

Speed Part of a Spartan Race is how fast you can complete all of the obstacles. Therefore, you need to be ready and able to complete various challenges in a quick manner. Training to improve on speed and agility can be very important to the chances of success in your first Spartan Race.

Upper and Lower Body Strength The body is put through any number of unexpected challenges during the Spartan Race. For those who have weakness in one area, it is likely to impede their efforts to complete the entire course. This is not a position to be in when you have trained long and hard to complete such a strenuous race. Instead, focus on the areas that might need extra attention and have an allaround effective strength to get through the course successfully.

Burpees It is hard to predict what type of obstacles will be included in the Spartan Race you take part in. If there is an obstacle you aren’t willing to tackle, your penalty will be burpees. Therefore, it is a necessity to be prepared to do burpees successfully.
