Personal Training On A Budget Have you ever thought that you’d like to work with a personal trainer but felt it was beyond your budget? If your idea of a personal trainer is one of those specialists who is paid to get film stars in shape for the role of their career, then you’re probably right. You probably can’t afford them. But if your goal is to find a trainer in NYC that you can afford, well you’re in luck. New York City personal training doesn’t have to be the cost of a non-rentcontrolled apartment. It doesn’t have to take a third of your salary and it doesn’t have to be your entire entertainment budget for the month. The first thing to do is to define what you’re really looking for because there is a personal trainer for almost anything you can think of. If your goal is to create an exercise regime which you can do on a regular basis then you might only need three or four sessions with a trainer and then you’ll be good to go. If your goal is to understand how to use the machines at the gym to their best effect, then check with the gym to see if they already provide that with your membership. It is in the gym’s best interest to ensure their investment in equipment is used properly and so they often will provide an orientation session as part of your membership. If you’re looking to a longterm weight control or health improvement plan, then you don’t need to see your trainer every day. You may only need to meet up once a week or even once a month, depending on how strong your motivation is.
