NEI Named Central Florida Top Workplace NEI has been named a Central Florida Top Workplace by the Orlando Sentinel. This award celebrates companies with a commitment to a meaningful and fulfilling work experience. The Central Florida employers chosen for recognition were determined through employee surveys conducted by Energage. The surveys measured qualities such as company leadership, communication, appreciation, direction, working environment, managerial skills, wages, and benefits. As a way of honoring these most-desired qualities and for creating a positive work environment, NEI and other recipients were recognized during the 2022 Orlando Sentinel Top Workplaces Awards Luncheon Event on Friday, September 16 at the Caribe Royale Orlando. "We are focused on building and preserving affordable housing throughout the country and building for good, and we couldn't do it without our exceptionally talented employees," said Rich. "At the end of the day, our success is the result of their hard work and dedication. It is a real testament to our team and culture that we have continued to grow."

In April, NEI broke ground on a two-story, 25,000 SF office building and warehouse located at 751 Garden Commerce Parkway in Winter Garden. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2023 and the office will support the Southeast operations including Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana among other states.
Preserving A Valuable Resource in Cutler Bay Located in the attractive residential neighborhood of Cutler Bay in Miami, Cutler Meadows Glen Apartments’ affordability is a valuable resource for the city of Miami. The property consists of three three-story buildings- each with a laundry facility, plus extensive mature landscaping, a community garden, and other amenities. NEI recently worked with longtime partner, Preservation of Affordable Housing, on the renovation of this property which included ADA conversion to some units, site upgrades, and fire alarm upgrades to an existing system. With the completion of this project, seniors and families in Cutler Bay now have a better, safer, and more affordable place to call home.
