One Jacket Can Provide a Lifetime of Opportunities “When I received my FFA jacket, it made me feel proud to be a part of an organization that could expand my knowledge about agriculture and leadership. It made me feel special and lucky because I was officially apart of the FFA family.” To this FFA member, receiving their jacket was the key they needed to unlock the door to their future. By joining her local FFA chapter and being gifted a jacket, this individual was able to set herself down a path of premier leadership, personal growth and career success. It has inspired her to one day become an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor. She wrote, “I want to be in the classroom inspiring students to be a part of FFA and the agriculture industry because, truly, the opportunities are endless.”

Over 750 FFA members applied in 2018 through the Blue Jackets. Bright Futures. program. The continued growth of agricultural education and FFA programs in Nebraska combined with the increased costs to purchase an FFA jacket, we expect the need to continue to grow.
