Please note you must be registered at Majura FC to trial and take part in any Majura FC pre-season programs. All at Majura FC wish each and every player and fan a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Give your team a Spray! Why not organise a team sponsor for 2011? All you have to do is get a team sponsor. The Sponsor gets their name on the Majura spray jacket and your team looks great. Details and prices available on Rego Day.
Majura FC Committee. Welcome to Majura Football Club 2011. Registration Days. The Registration Days for 2011 are February the 12th and 19th at the Majura Clubhouse, Antill St, Dickson. The easiest way to register and to avoid the queues is to login to the myfootballclub.com.au website which we are hoping to have available from the 15th of January. We will send out a reminder when it is available to register for 2011 with instructions. Trial changes and dates: Under 10 will trial this year in boys and girls for the first time. This means u10s boys and girls will play inter-club, travelling across North Canberra. The following are dates and times for trials – the times/age group are subject to change Friday 4th March 5pm to 6.30 pathway U16 girls U16/U18open Saturday 5th and 12th March 9am U10 11am U11 3pm U12 4.30pm U13 5.30pm U14 All players must trial in their own Age Group even if they want to try out for older team.

All Pre-Season Programs sign-up on Rego Day. Pre-Season Program 1: Coerver Skills Pre-season program 8 weeks program. Starts Wednesday February 23 at Downer Oval.) Majura is delighted to offer an 8 week Coerver Pre-season program at a reduced rate, the Coerver pre-season is open to any player, boy or girl from 5-18. Price and times to be confirmed There are limited spots so be sure to get in early on Registration Day Pre-Season Program 2: Paul Jones Goalkeeping Clinic 8 week program starts Wednesday February 23 at Downer Oval.
Team Training. Majura u11 boys and u12 girls will start training in the first week of March. Sessions will be available to all (depending on player number and coaches) until team allocation day.
Majura is delighted to offer a Goalkeeping Course with Australia’s number one goalkeeping Coach, Matildas Coach and fmr Aussie Representative Paul Jones. Cost $195 includes 11.5 hours of coaching Uhlsport Gloves and Uhlsport Water Bottle. See web in coming days for more detail. Sign up on Registration Day. Limited spots. Pre-Season: Mother and Daughter football introduction This 4 week program is a Capital Football led initiative to encourage girls and mothers to play/learn the game together. Coaching Courses 2011. Coaching young players is not easy and Majura FC aims to support all our Coaches as best we can. We would like every Coach in 2011 to have an age appropriate FFA Coaching Licence Course details: Grassroots Course: Majura Technical Director Paul Whittingham will run a Grassroots Course at Dickson prior to the season. Details in the next newsletter. Majura Under 12 Girls to Malaysia. Plans are underway to take 2011 U12 girls to Borneo in July 2012 (ie when the girls are u13.) This will be open initially to all 2011 Majura u12 girls – up to 20 places. Further details will be emailed to all U12 girls prior to Rego Day or contact flanagan.eamonn@gmail.com

There are many great benefits to becoming a football referee whether you are still playing the game, have retired, or have never played, there is plenty to be gained from picking up the whistle. We would love to increase our numbers of referees for all Age Groups, so sign up for the course, get fit and get paid as well. Majura FC will assist with course fees after you have passed.
Children turning 13 in 2011 are also eligible to become referees - a great way to earn pocket money! The Referee Introduction courses (ten hours over 2 or 3 days), run by Capital Football, for 2011 are: 1st session - 19/20th of Feb 2nd session - 5/6th of March 3rd session - 29/30th/31st of March 4th session - 30th April/ 1st May To attend and book into a session send an email to Sigourney Dunk at refadmin@capitalfootball.com.au and she will send you all the information.
