From choosing the colors or tapestries for the walls and the curtains to selecting the proper pieces of furniture, accessories, lights and plants, that will perfectly align to create the ideal space is a skill that is part of my daily life. Inspiration leads me to integrate the architecture to the decoration in which I work with a very discerning use of color, silhouettes and materials.

The study of Photography allowed me to develop a keen sense of space, color and light integration, and has evolved my senses in terms of structure and composition ensuring that all the elements of a space are bestowed in harmony.

As a Gemologist and Jewelry Designer, graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York, I learned how nature and our environment can be an infinite source of inspiration. It was an enriching experience that served to greatly nurture my creativity.

Finding the perfect blend of space, lines, objects and colors is an ever-challenging venture.

An art that must be nurtured and refined with constant nourishment through cultural landscapes like museums and historic and modern architectures, combined with the newer trends in fashion and decoration seen at hotels, restaurants, clubs and boutiques. Both old and new cultural and fashion trends are key factors for developing a unique design space.

For the last 15 years, I have worked with many different architects and developers in Peru in designing their interior space and furniture for their hotels, homes and offices. I have learned to value the richness of our materials, the quality and skill of the craftsmen’s work, and our vast indigenous and colonial culture.

For me, each piece of furniture should be a unique extension of the owner’s personality. It should be a jewel like the ones I designed more 20 years ago in New York. The combination of these unique pieces must align Zen fully within the space, the energy and the concept of the people enjoying it.

bohemian

The word “bohemian” refers to someone who is socially unconventional and which is often involved in the arts, making it a great interior design choice for a space that is rich and full of visual interest and a relaxed spirit.

To create a strong foundation, we can start with a simple base color for each bohemian-style room. Warm, earthy tones create the perfect canvas, and going for a neutral base allows you to build up expressive colors and patterns for the perfect blend without being painfully distracting and noisy.

It is perfect to saturate neutral tones with color while keeping the base tone muted to create a harmonious and relaxing oasis with modern décor. If you prefer a shimmery base shade, it may be too rich and beset the area with a somewhat chaotic starting point. When it comes to longevity, a neutral shade is always best.

Nordic style decoration or Scandinavian design is a style of interior decoration that was born in northern Europe, originating in countries such as Sweden, Norway and Denmark mainly.

This style is based on functionality as the main premise, together with the industrialization of the furniture sector and its corresponding adaptation to more minimalist forms. This style is also sometimes called the skandi style.

Nordic-style interior decoration is based on the simplicity and cleanliness of forms, bringing light and warmth to the spaces.

It uses natural elements such as light and noble materials such as wood. To this we must add the use of neutral colors that bring that feeling of peace and well-being to the room.

Egyptian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Moroccan, African and others are ethnic styles. The ethnic style in interior design is sometimes associated with the exotic. It is mistakenly believed that only African statues or Japanese screens can be used to achieve an ethnic look.

All ethnic accessories brilliantly add character to the entire interior and guide us to ancient folk traditions. Trends change day by day. But no matter how many trends come out, the ethnic style in interior design never goes out of style. From a cozy feeling to a festive atmosphere, the ethnic style can cover it all.

Ethnic style in interior design is a unique way of bringing together original provenance crafts, materials, art, rugs, cushions, ceramic vases and even brocade in upholstery. Carved solid wood furniture or leather lamps are used to accentuate the room.

industrial In interior design, the Industrial style is the perfect mix of old and new. In recent years, the industrial style in interior design has become increasingly popular and it’s easy to see why. The look is all about combining the best aspects of old world charm with modern elegance. In essence, it is a perfect compromise.

When we imagine these industrial-style interior designs, we usually think of lofts with large open windows and lots of exposed brick. Those who live in less urban settings may feel that they don’t have the right environment and that their living spaces are too traditional to achieve this style, however, a contracting room or are like a kitchen, study or work environment can prove to be distinct, appealing for its purpose and unique.

Peru is a wonderful country with a great diversity of landscapes, materials and a very rich culture and history. Peruvian interior design itself refers to a style influenced by a blend of native culture and European influence, merging into a harmonic collage of sense stimulating realm. It is similar to the ‘Globe-Trotter’ style in that it features a use of natural materials, patterns, textiles and bold colors.

Peruvian textiles are immediately recognizable often made from alpaca hair yarn in countless shades of white and beige, but often stained with shades of blue, pink, orange, yellow and green to reflect the ancestral brightness of the Incas.

W One of the main characteristics of Italian influenced interior design are the lines created by the characteristic architectural design as well as the objects within its spaces.
