A Bold Step Forward: The Career Innovation Center & Aviation Program This past year marked an exciting new chapter for NDSCS with the grand opening of the Career Innovation Center (CIC) in Fargo. The CIC is more than just a building — it is a hub for innovation, collaboration, and workforce readiness. Designed in partnership with local businesses, industries, and community leaders, the CIC provides cutting-edge space where students gain hands-on training while employers connect with the next generation of skilled professionals. From nursing and agriculture labs to collaborative classrooms, every square foot was created with the future in mind. One of the most exciting additions to our Fargo presence is the launch of the Aviation Maintenance Program at the Fargo Jet Center and our 19th Avenue location. This program responds to a critical workforce need, preparing students
for high-demand careers in aviation maintenance and repair. With state-of-the-art equipment and instruction from experienced professionals, NDSCS students will graduate ready to enter an industry that is vital to our region and beyond. The CIC and the new aviation program embody what NDSCS has always been about: practical, hands-on education that meets the needs of students and employers alike. These initiatives would not be possible without the vision and support of our alumni, donors, and partners who continue to believe in the mission of NDSCS. Together, we are not only opening doors to new facilities and programs — we are opening doors to opportunity, fueling dreams, and ensuring that NDSCS students remain workforce-ready for generations to come.
$1.6million in Scholarships Awarded It is my honor to share that the NDSCS Alumni Foundation is awarding $1.6 million in scholarships for FY26—a record level of support for our students and programs in the 2025–2026 academic year. This incredible milestone is only possible because of the generosity of our alumni and friends, the strength of the ND Challenge Grant, the continued success of the market, and our strong partnership with Bell Wealth Management. Together, we are ensuring that more students than ever can pursue their education at NDSCS with reduced financial burden. Each year, our scholarship luncheons bring donors and students together in a powerful way. With 140–150 attendees at each gathering, the room is filled with stories of hope, gratitude, and inspiration. Students consistently share how
your support is transforming their futures—and donors leave reminded of the lasting impact their generosity has on the next generation. Since its founding in 1988, the Alumni Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission: “to support and assist those activities that develop and strengthen the North Dakota State College of Science.” Today, that mission is alive and well. Your commitment to NDSCS continues to fuel the success of our students, strengthen our programs, and build a legacy for generations to come. The NDSCS Foundation is proud of the number of academically and technically talented students who enter the College each year. We are proud that many of the students who apply 2000000 receive some sort of scholarship annually.

Named to honor the past leadership of President Clair T. Blikre, the Blikre Society recognizes donors who have donated or pledged a gift of $10,000 or more and/or have included NDSCS in a planned gift. Dr. Blikre served the NDSCS College Community for 21 years. Decades after his tenure, the Alumni Foundation and donors created the Blikre Society in 1998, to continue his legacy.
