There is no season that showcases the beauty of our Notre Dame Schools campus quite like autumn. The 450 acres of woods and winding paths provide us with a campus like no other. This fall, as I walk across our grounds, I am deeply aware of the beauty not only in nature, but in the life of our school community.
We recently concluded our Capital Campaign, raising an extraordinary $12.7 million in support of our mission. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we grew our Endowment, enhanced our science and learning spaces, transformed our athletic facilities, and completed the $3.2 million renovation to expand our middle school. Each improvement reflects a community committed to providing the very best for our students—mind, body, and spirit.
As I look across our campus, I see more than new facilities. I see classrooms, labs, and athletic facilities, representing the countless alumni and friends who built the foundation upon which Notre Dame Schools stands today. You are the reason our students can dream boldly and achieve greatly.
One of my favorite parts of this year has been connecting with alumni—the heart and history of Notre Dame. From our Cleveland Alumni event at Southern Tier where stories and laughter were shared, to the Come Home, Men of Latin gathering, where our football players proudly wore the Cathedral Latin purple and gold, I was reminded how strong and enduring the Lion spirit truly is. I was also blessed to make a second annual trip to Colorado and have lunch with the Rocky Mountain Lions, whose pride in their alma mater reaches all the way across the country. And most recently, the Ladies Night Out event with Notre Dame Academy and NDCL alumni in the heart of Ohio’s wine country—a perfect fall evening!
As the leaves turn and another school year unfolds, I am filled with gratitude for all who make Notre Dame Schools such a special place. Together, we are shaping young minds, strengthening traditions, and building a future as bright and beautiful as our campus in the fall.

Greetings to our alumni, families, and friends of Notre Dame Schools,
It’s been another busy Summer and Fall on our campus and within our broad community as we continue to grow and positively impact those around us. This occurs in large and noticeable ways, such as the completion of the Middle School renovation, but also in other, perhaps less noticeable, but still impactful ways. Other examples of our mission in action include one of students, Natalie, sharing with our Board of Directors how her Christian values have grown during her NDS experience, or Danny, who shared his connectedness with the Sisters of Notre Dame every time he sees the stained-glass Mary donor wall in the Middle School. Our community continues to work strongly together, and independently, in a myriad of impactful and important ways.
This was done through the incredible generosity of our community and similar effort by our Advancement Team and Capital Campaign committee. We are incredibly grateful and fortunate for you and the results targeted in the campaign. Our students, faculty and staff are enjoying our enhanced facilities and our Board and leadership thank you for our strengthened endowment and future.
We also wanted to thank our community for working together and communicating so effectively recently to fast-track renovations work on our baseball and softball fields. This work was needed, so people worked together to elevate this message, which then helped to prioritize this work, which was quickly approved so that these improvements could get going. It was a sizable initiative involving many. Thank you all for this communication and collaboration.
We are also excited to welcome three new Board members this year, George Collins `65, Robert Coode, and Dr. Tripp Petzel. We are grateful for the application of their time and expertise in support of our mission. Our Board and leadership Staff remain aligned and working diligently on maintaining and improving our academics, athletics, faith, and facilities through our ongoing work and our Strategic Planning efforts. While we celebrate some recent success, we remain focused on our future and strengthening the mission and impact of our schools and to continue to be a regional leader in Catholic education. Thank you to all of those who have given their time and expertise to this ongoing endeavor.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN EXCEEDS GOAL: ACHIEVES $12.7 MILLION FOR NOTRE DAME SCHOOLS
Successful Completion of LARGEST CAMPAIGN in School History!
Notre Dame Schools proudly announces the successful completion of its largest campaign in school history, Leading Transformation: The Campaign for Notre Dame Schools. The campaign achieved $12.7 million in commitments since it began in 2022.
“This campaign is a true milestone in the history of Notre Dame Schools”, says Notre Dame Schools President Dr. Jacqueline Hoynes. “Our donors’ generosity has allowed us to transform our campus in ways that will enrich the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of our students for generations to come. This is more than just an investment in buildings—it is an investment in the young men and women who will lead with faith, knowledge, and character."
Thanks to a completion gift from The Scaminace Family, the campaign expanded Notre Dame Middle School, built a new grandstand, press box and plaza at Lion Stadium, opened the Rieger Athletic Center, renovated two NDCL science labs and classrooms, and grew the schools’ endowments.
The campaign was the largest in school history. Thank you to our donors—alumni, families, and friends of NDCL and Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School for investing in Catholic education!

I am honored to represent Notre Dame Schools as the Chief Financial Officer! Together, with our Finance Committee Chair, Matt Keefe, we are pleased to share important developments regarding Notre Dame Schools.
We published our strategic plan earlier this year with the vision for our finance team to provide accurate, timely and missionaligned financial information to support strategic decision making, optimize resource allocation and safeguard school assets. As part of that long term vision, in the last year, we’ve evaluated and enhanced tuition and financial aid models, implemented sustainable salary tables, and maintained balanced budgets with a focus of investing in ourselves.
Your support, whether through contributions, volunteering, or spreading the word, has made a profound difference in the lives of our students and the sustainability of our Catholic educational mission. Together, we continue to seize opportunities, bolster our facilities and endowment, and build an even stronger foundation for generations of students to come.
