Interested in starting a new endowed scholarship at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School or Notre Dame Elementary School? Contact Keven Krajnak `98 at (440) 279-1068 or Keven.Krajnak@ndcl.org. The WHY: Starting an endowment to honor or memorialize somebody special is often the first step. The threshold to begin a partially-funded endowed scholarship is $50,000.

“Sister Kay was an elementary school teacher and a special part of our family, and we wanted to do something to remember her and honor her gift from God to us.”

The HOW: Honoring this person through a named endowment is a forever gift, meaning the principal is invested in the school’s endowment portfolio and a portion is used each year for need-based scholarship support to a deserving student(s).

“What better way to create something that will live on forever in her memory than a scholarship endowment at the school where she began her career?” The WHAT: You are making Catholic education within reach for families who seek tuition assistance for their son or daughter.

“We were raised in a very Catholic family with generations of vocations. Although it was a financial stretch for our parents they, especially our mother was committed to Catholic education for each of us.”

The END RESULT: About half of our students receive some sort of tuition assistance each year. You receive a yearly report about your endowed fund.

“Education is the key to success. No matter what the level, education creates better members of society and moves our country forward. By providing opportunities through a scholarship program we hope it will encourage the students to achieve their dreams. Even though we may never meet these students, we know that Notre Dame is dedicated to giving quality Catholic education.”
