CULTURE At NDP we engage in the formation of the entire person, mind, body and soul. We desire that our students lead lives that reflect the example of Jesus Christ. Guided by Mary Lou Lachvayder, Director of the House System, students develop leadership skills and become the best versions of themselves while living authentic lives that are true to the teachings of Jesus Christ. THE HOUSE SYSTEM In this technological world, and now with the quarantine, teens are more isolated than ever before. To remedy this, our student body is grouped into 10 Houses. These Houses build community, mentorship, discipleship and opportunities for growth and leadership.

Each House consists of four smaller groups called Families. This year, our students will have a chance to check in with their Family for fifteen minutes each day for real interpersonal interaction and fellowship.

The Houses compete for the coveted House Cup each year by earning House Points through academics, Christian service and school spirit, while showing Reverence, Respect and Responsibility toward each other.

From Medical Club and Diversity Club to Saints For Life and NDP Live!, there is something for every interest. This year, our Baking Club will travel to France and train at Le Cordon Bleu to make up for the trip that was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak last spring. There are a limited number of spaces still available for budding chefs. If interested, contact Mrs. Jean at kjean@ndpsaints.org. Students are encouraged to join a club early as a way to make friends who share their passions and interests. If a club of interest doesn’t exist, students are encouraged to create one with other like-minded individuals. STUDENT LEADERS Student leaders for clubs, honor socities, committees, Dog Pound and House provide direction for our student activities. They plan activities, dances, spirit weeks, charity drives and keep our campus life fun and engaging all year long. All enthusiastic Saints are encouraged to apply for leadership roles.
