LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear Members of the NDA Community,

No matter what age, circumstance or stage of life, I think we all can agree that 2020 is not the year we imagined it would be. There have been many disruptions, big and small, to all our lives. While these unwelcome intrusions meddle in our every day lives, they have also brought time for thought and reflection. Now, as we approach our sorely missed back-to-school routine, we find it to be more anxiety-provoking than usual.

I want to thank our Board of Directors, Academy Leadership, Faculty, Staff and our COVID-19 Re-Entry Task Force who have been working all summer to ensure the continued safety, well being, and educational growth of our students as we return to the NDA campus. Our goal is to provide a safe and vibrant learning community during a challenging time. I find it helpful to reflect on the words of St. Julie Billiart — “It is a good sign when the good God causes us to do what we have neither seen nor wanted.”

You will see the result in the following pages of the collaborative, creative thought and hard work, but above all dedication, to the students of the Academy of Notre Dame. We are a blessed community.

We are excited to welcome our entire community back to campus in the coming weeks, and are honored to have you and your family with us for the journey.
