Muriel (Basten) Keyser, SJA 1949, celebrated her 70th Class Reunion on Oct. 3 at Bay Family Restaurant in Green Bay with her great granddaughter, Eva Safford.

James (Lodzinski) Logan, SNHS 1951, resides in Marshfield. He is one of three ordained priests from his high school class. The others are Carl and Thomas Muelemans.

George Howlett, Jr., CCHS 1954, is still active as a Forest Ecologist working on timber sales “if it ever stops raining.”

Tommy Holmes, CCHS 1955, lives in Austin, Texas, and is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Business Development with Capital Faith of Texas. He has been married 58 years to his University of Texas “college sweetheart” and they have two girls and one granddaughter.

Harvey Quinette, SNHS 1955, celebrated 40 years as a Deacon. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon for the Green Bay Diocese in 1979 and assigned to St. Joseph, which is now our Lady of Lourdes. He was granted Emeritus Status in 2009 and remains on the Ministry Team at St. John’s Homeless Shelter. Over the years, Deacon Harvey has had the privilege of having an audience with Pope John Paull II in Detroit, Pope Benedict in Rome and serving as Deacon at Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica.

John Garot, PHS 1960, flew to Washington D.C. for a Northeast Wisconsin Old Glory Honor Flight on Sept. 11, 2019, to view memorials. John was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps from 1965-1967, serving two years in Aschaffenburg, Germany.

Paul Novotny, PHS 1961, is completing his sixth and final year as President of the Green Bay Diocesan Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. There are now 44 SVdP Parish Conferences in the Diocese. Paul encourages other alumni to join the Society and grow spiritually as they serve people in need.

Mary (Nielsen) James, SJA 1962, and her husband, Clarence, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Oct. 31, 2019. They have three wonderful children, four grandsons, six step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren whom they love very much.

Bob McDevitt, PHS 1965, and his wife, Mary, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their daughters, Anne and Katie, and their families in Door County just prior to their permanent move to Green Valley, Ariz.

Gene Nelson, PHS 1965, and his wife, Rosa, took a trip to Minnesota and Wisconsin. In Minneapolis, they saw sites like the Basilica of St. Mary and the Stone Arch Bridge. In Madison, they visited three museums on the Capital Square, the Olbrich Botanical Garden and the newly renovated St. Paul University Church. In Green Bay, they visited the National Railroad Museum, Heritage Hill, met Fr. John McCarthy at St. Willebrord Church in addition to spending a day in Door County.

Mike Titel, PHS 1969, joined the U.S. Coast Guard and graduated first from boot camp. He received the Commandants Letter of Commendation, Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Department of Commerce Public Service Award, the highest award extended by the federal agency. In 1989, he was awarded the city of Green Bay’s highest award, the Citizen Service Medal, which is given to an individual who saves a life without regard for their own personal safety. He graduated from UWGreen Bay with degrees in public administration and political science. He has been married to his wife, Ann, for 40 years and they have two children and two grandchildren.

Dennis Maloney, PHS 1969, was recognized as the “Distinguished Alumnus Award” recipient at the Premontre Class of 1969’s 50th class reunion last summer that his mother accepted on his behalf. Maloney, who passed away in 2007, drew national praise and funding for his restorative justice program for youth offenders. There is a book in the Library of Congress titled “Legacy of Community Justice” written by Maloney, who inspired many of the leaders of today’s restorative and community justice fields.

Tom Fritsch, PHS 1971, writes “it’s so important to stay connected by faith, family, friends and teachers, past and present. Take time to make a call, send a text, ‘How are you doing? Thinking about you.’”

David Kaster, APHS 1983, has over 30 years of experience in real estate. He has an extensive background in internet marketing, with an emphasis in luxury real estate. He is a certified Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group and the Team Leader for the GreenBayHomeTeam.com and iLoveDoorCounty.com team.

Matthew Liebmann, NDA 1992, is an Archaeology Professor at Harvard University. He has collaborated with the Pueblo of Jemez in New Mexico for two decades, serving as tribal archaeologist and Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act program director for the Jemez Department of Natural Resources. He authored, “Revolt: An Archaeological History of Pueblo Resistance and Revitalization in 17th Century New Mexico.” He led a group of undergraduates and graduate students to Jemez last summer to help members of the tribe excavate the site of two mission churches.

Liz (Weiss) Goldman, NDA 1994, is the principal at Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Waunakee. Her husband, Dave, and their daughter, Reese, love being back in Wisconsin after spending six years in Virginia. While in Virginia, Liz completed her Master’s in Education at Marymount University. This is her second year as the principal of Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in the Diocese of Madison.

William Novak, NDA 2001, retired from the practice of law in 2014 and currently resides in Arlington, Va., with his wife, Mary, and their son, John (2). He spends too much time each day taking care of an eldery pug, Betty (12), and a very active community garden plot.

Matt Paprocki, NDA 2001, was named President of the Illinois Policy Institute, the nation’s largest state-based think tank, and an advocate for the free market to lift up the poor and disadvantaged. He was also appointed by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights to a four-year term as a member of its Illinois Advisory Committee and serves as the Chairman of the Illinois Policy Political Action Committee. He resides in Lincoln Park, Ill., with his wife, Anna, and daughter, Fiona.

Chelsea (Selinsky) Hoholek, NDA 2011, welcomed a baby boy, Elijah John, in April 2019.

Mary Lovell, NDA 2014, authored her first book with her mother, Sally. The book, “Glass Storm: The 2005 Stoughton, Wisconsin Tornado,” recollects their accounts of being in the middle of the storm. Experience their heart-wrenching account in the book as Mary received what she thought would be the last phone call from her mother.

Bryn Allen, NDA 2015, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame last May. She is currently attending Georgetown Law School.

Megan Southwick, NDA 2016, traveled to Moscow, Russia, to compete in an international artificial intelligence computer programming competition. The 48-hour hackathon challenged participants to develop a program to allow autonomous cars to recognize and identify Russian traffic signs during winter conditions.
