Attainable and Affordable.

e are excited to bring you the latest update on Ohio’s Educational Choice Scholarship Program. With the passage of the new state budget on June 30, 2023, significant changes to the program expand eligibility, empowering families to make educational choices for their children. Ohio now joins a select group of states that prioritize educational decisions at the local level – the kitchen table.

Families must follow a three-step process to be considered for an EdChoice Scholarship Program.

1. Notify the School

Inform your child’s current school about your decision to transfer them to NDA.

2. Complete the Application

Fill out a two-page application form and submit it to NDA. Additionally, provide a current utility bill and a copy of your child’s birth certificate.

3. Income Verification

The expanded school choice eligibility guidelines for families in Ohio allow those with an income up to 450% of the federal poverty level or less to qualify for the program. The scholarship amount gradually decreases as income increases. For instance, families at 550% of the federal poverty level may be eligible for a reduced scholarship amount. Awarded scholarships are used to offset a portion of the cost to educate your daughter at Notre Dame Academy.

Verify your income by either mailing a form to the state of Ohio or, preferably, by creating an account on ohid.ohio.gov and uploading the required income documents online. NDA’s dedicated staff is available to assist you throughout this process. Income for full scholarships based on household size are as follows:

2 $88,740

3 $111,870

4 $135,000

5 $158,130

6 $181,260

7 $204,390

We are thrilled about the opportunities the revamped EdChoice program brings to our families. The freedom to choose the best educational path for your child, fosters a more enriching learning experience.

8 $227,520

9 $250,650

10 $273,780

All students eligible for EdChoice scholarships must apply for admission to NDA and be accepted.

If you have any questions or require assistance with the application process, please reach out to NDA’s admissions staff at 419.475.9359 or by email at admissions@nda.org
