STRØMME | FLOW: A cold plunge for the imagination
Aperfect place to start your Arts Walk this month is at the MAC Gallery on the campus of Wenatchee Valley College where an immersive new collaborative installation from Methow Valley artists Perri Lynch Howard and Hannah Viano opens with a reception and soundscape presentation.

e artists will be on hand to ll the Grove Recital Hall with the elusive sounds of icebergs calving, whale songs echoing and meltwater rushing, recorded and curated by artist Perri Howard to establish an intimacy between her audiences and the sea.
Inspired by an artist residency the two spent together on the island of Arnøya in Norway, collaborator Viano employs ocean relics such as dri wood scraps, rocks and moss as unconventional drawing implements to help her amplify the beauty of the acoustic tapestry through abstract seascapes.
According to MAC Gallery curator and WVC Art Department Director Scott Bailey, “ is collaborative project weaves together art, science and sense of place, using creative expression to address a pressing environmental issue.”
