Dear supporter, Due to your generosity and that of other generous NCSSM Foundation donors, NCSSM has been able to respond in an agile way to the many challenges presented by the pandemic over the past year and a half.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, NCSSM was able to provide connectivity, technology, and resources for students who lacked access at home—and to outfit NCSSM classrooms for hybrid learning and collaboration.

Even during a time of extraordinary challenges, you helped move our mission forward. Thank you.

We have so much to celebrate. This summer, 342 NCSSM Residential Program graduates and 179 NCSSM Online students ventured out into the larger world after turning their tassels at NCSSM’s 40th graduation ceremony and Online Recognition Ceremony. The Class of 2021 leaves NCSSM with countless achievements including more than $15 million in scholarship awards and acceptances into top schools. Our Morganton campus nears the completion of construction and will welcome residential students in fall 2022. The NCSSM Foundation will soon launch the public phase of our unprecedented $50 million Ignite + Transform campaign, and we hope you continue to be a part of its success.

• A team of NCSSM students was named one of five national winners in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition

• In 2020, six NCSSM summer programs found ways to shift to virtual formats to challenge, enrich, and prepare some 1,100 students

• NCSSM hosted a virtual COVID-19 Symposium with Dr. Francis
