Discusses his experience being able to attend the Drive, Chip, and Putt Finals in Augusta and how nice it was to see a Champion from Northern California. President Lippert discussed the candidates for PGA of America National Secretary and the trip to the Super Regional with Directors Bailey, Meheen and Executive Director Dumas, who they thought would be best for the position. States when they decide who the best would be the Section will send in a Letter of Support. Speaks about the ADP funding we will be getting this year. States our District 11 Meeting in coming up in July in Hawaii.
VI. Vice President’s Report – Nick Bailey, PGA a. States financial reports are submitted b. Talks about in the processes of hiring a new team member in the Section office c. States the new Dues amount will roll out on May 1st, and we will be letting people know to do provide their member change form if needed before then. d. Executive Director Dumas states recent changes to Workday have helped with the financial process VII. Secretary’s Report – Devin Meheen, PGA a. Membership Report – Submitted in packet b. Speaks about the number of transfers out but we have a respectable number of new Associates coming in VIII. Honorary President Report – Dede Moriarty, PGA a. States the Hall of Fame Committee met in March, and it consists of all Past Presidents. The Hall of Fame Inductees will be, Sue Fiscoe, PGA, John Fry, PGA, Mike Rawitser, and Shim LaGoy, PGA. b. Would like to revamp the criteria of the Hall of Fame Inductees going forward c. States they are working on the Inductees Bios IX. Executive Director/COO Report – Len Dumas, PGA CCM a. Had Three (3) interviews for the Assistant Executive Director position but did not end up with a person to fill position. We have need to hire a Player Development position and will be adding two (2) Foundation Fellows soon. b. Assembly Bill 672 has become AB 1910 was pulled this week from the CA Legislature and that is good news. c. Partnerships for tournaments are going great and trying to combine Sections and Foundations Partnerships together. We are getting better at creating the contracts and asking for greater funding and contributions. d. Our Drive Chip and Putt season is upon us. We have close to 1200 players signed up along with a few new facilities doing Qualifiers this year. X. NCPGA Foundation Report –Suzy Schneider a. Foundation Report – Submitted in packet b. Pressing need for more PGA Hope instructors and explains the incentives for being an instructor c. Speaks about Patriot Golf Day

XI. PGA of America Reports a. Career Services – Caitlyn Doyle, PGA- Doyle summarizes the upcoming job searches she and the team have coming up and what positions are open currently. XIII. Committees a. Bylaws – John Hughes states bylaws changes will need to be approved to submit for approval at Semi-Annual Meeting. Discussion for how many meetings a Board of Directors member can be absent and subsequent consequences. States two (2) absent meetings by a Director will be deemed as their resignation, and they have to the next Board of Directors Meeting to submit an appeal. Motion to approve by Mark Naylor, seconded by Devin Meheen. Discussion that this will be for a 12-month rolling period or what timeframe would be best. Decide to a 12-month rolling period of the Board of Director’s term. Motion to approve by TJ Duncan, seconded by Mark Naylor, Motion approved. This will be submitted at Semi-Annual Meeting. b. Tournaments – Director Duncan talks about the first upcoming meeting they will be having and his ideas on rotation locations for certain tournaments. Speaks about how participation is a crucial factor in the locations. c. Education – Director Workman discusses the MSR % met so far and discusses the plans for upcoming education webinars/seminars before the MSR Cycle ending. d. Member & Associate Mentoring – Discusses their first meeting and committee members they had added. States the mission statement changed slightly and are trying to get useful resources before asking to have mentors for the future menti-mentor program. e. Bay Area Chapter Report We have been quiet with a busy summer for pros in our section. We are feeling the sting of not getting events on the calendar due to our restructure early in the year. We do have an event in August coming up at TPC Stonebrae. We have a sponsor secured and will be getting it published on the chapter webpage and section schedule.

North Coast Chapter Report The North Coast Chapter had a big first official event of the year when PGA Member Greg Senestraro hosted the Redwood Pro Am on May 23rd. It was a successful venture as a good number of fellow PGA professionals and their amateurs are now set to resume back to pre-pandemic routine that includes more travel. There is nothing set in stone until the Annual Meeting in October to meet again, but there have been suggestions to do so. More discussion is needed to clear everything up on what’s going on up and down the Chapter right now and what the plans are for 2022 and beyond. The next Chapter events will be the Beau Pre Pro Texas Scramble (6/20) and the Baywood Pro Am (7/18-19).

North State Chapter Report – Semi Annual Meeting 2022 It is my pleasure to provide this update on North State Chapter activities as well as recognize our tournament winners and those who have greatly contributed to our success. The 2022 North State Board of Directors consisted of President Derek Zachman, Vice President Greg Ciavarelli, and Secretary TBA. Committee members include Pat Shaw (Growth of the Game), Kelly Runkle (Tournaments).

The mission of the North State Chapter is to elevate the standards of PGA professionals through processional development, education, tournament competition and sharing of best practices. We believe in growing the game with players of all ages and promoting the enjoyment and involvement of the game on golf in our area.

NCPGA San Joaquin Valley Chapter Report June 2022 The San Joaquin Valley Chapter has been relatively quiet over the start of Summer. We had an event scheduled earlier in the month of June, but unfortunately had to cancel. We don’t normally attempt an event around this time of year but decided to give it a shot, and remembered quickly why we don’t host them in June. We had pretty significant heat in the valley during this time frame and our Golf Professionals have a lot on their plate to start the Summer. In the future we will reserve a large portion of our events for the Fall and Winter months with perhaps an event in the Spring. Our participation numbers show that this fits best for our Chapter Membership. Currently we continue to run our “Season Long” Match Play, we are winding down to the final handful of players that will continue to compete for the title of SJVC Match Play Champion. As a Chapter we have seen our participation numbers fluctuate greatly between higher than normal participants, and then lower than usual for some events to the point of cancelation or postponement. With the Central Valley Golf Professionals being so busy we are finding that now more than ever the timeframe for scheduling is as much or more important than the type of event we host. We are going to continue using the easy technology and communication through the Section to reach our players as well as placing high value on personal relationships and making the competition somewhat secondary. We plan to continue this type of outreach with the hope that we will continue to host a number of events throughout the year and keep our Chapter healthy.

Sierra Nevada Chapter PGA Executive Committee Meeting Thursday, May 26th, 2022 Montreux Golf & Country Club, Reno, NV Board of Directors Present: Travis Alley, John Hermans, Andrew Workman, Fred Elliott, Greg Wenzel, Chris Detsch, Anthony Roth, Dan Garner, and John Hughes Regrets: TJ Duncan Called to order at 11:15am Travis Alley • David Pfisterer has announced that he is leaving Clear Creek Tahoe – welcome to the Board of Directors Dan Garner • Dan was the next candidate with the most votes in the previous election. Education Update • Plenty of online opportunities for those who still need MSR Points • Set up a launch monitor/instructional training this late summer/early fall at Old Greenwood or Grays Crossing. September 21 or 22. Tournaments Update • Great turn out at Montreux for the Pro-Pro o Even opened up a couple more spots to accommodate players on the waiting list. ·Match Play didn’t happen this year. The month of May might be too busy for some schedules. We can try to plan for the event later in the season, maybe October would work better. ·Tournament Points for Brooks Park; oShould Pro-Am’s, Pro-Pros, & Individual events have different weight of points. ·Should we increase the cost for events? We currently charge $100 for Montreux, would we be able to raise it to $150 and still get participation. ·Yardages for the different flights; does the current model still work?

These are recorded videos about the level 1bookwork. Goal is to use posted materials by colleagues to work smarter, and save time by not reinventing the wheel. The list of NCPGA Associates has been distributed to the committee and all are assigned individuals to reach out to. We are hoping that during our outreach efforts we can see what level they are in, what are challenges and barriers to completion of the program and any recommendations they have. We want to help them and see if they are happy in their roles and/or need assistance. Attached you will find detailed financial statements for the period ending April 30, 2022 April 30, 2022, Statement of Activities (page 1) Balance Sheet (page 2) Q1 and April 2022 have been activity and event filled to a positive tone. Our business model has evolved, as all have, when we consider the use of virtual meetings, online education , and increased social media content as the means to accomplish our Mission accompanied by a reduction in hard costs. We have been fortunate in sustained and increased Partner Development, evidenced through those supporting this Semi-Annual Meeting. A key aspect of our Partner growth are personal introductions to our Section facility leadership, the creation of a consumer database and combining strengths with our District 11 Sections, as possible. Results for the year-end period April 30, 2022, reflect a Section operating NOI (Net operating Income) of $30,866 inclusive of Investment Interest and net of Depreciation. This result is positive variance of $ 53,825 vs YOY results. Our cash position reflects stability through the period ended April 30, 2022, an operating balance of $53,225 and reserves of $227, 336. At this point in the year, we begin to receive both Association Development Program (ADP) and 2023 Membership Dues collected.

NCPGA FOUNDATION REPORT – JUNE 2022 Vision Statement: Impacting Lives Through Golf The Mission of the NCPGA Foundation is three-fold: To serve Veterans - Their health and their families; to provide resources to PGA members serving their communities in Northern California and Northwestern Nevada; and to grow the game of golf. Foundation Staff Expanded – May 2nd Jacob Fagan was hired as full time PGA Works Fellow. Jacob is a journalism major with strong storytelling skills. He has built websites and blogsites, and is hands in the office with PGA HOPE. As a former junior golfer, he has recently assisted with Section Drive Chip & Putt events. Will Stockholm, PGA HOPE Ambassador & US Marine, works part time as our Program Coordinator for PGA HOPE. Will’s perspective and strategic operations experience brings increased efficiency to the vastly growing PGA HOPE program. PGA HOPE Helps Members obtain MSR credits Besides the personal satisfaction of teaching veterans how to play golf, PGA HOPE helps Class A Members obtain required MSR credits in two ways: 1) 6 credits are earned for attending the PGA HOPE adaptive golf instruction seminar, and 2) 6 credits can be earned for teaching at a PGA HOPE program. This year PGA HOPE helped over 50 PGA Pros earn required MSR credits! • Honorariums are Paid – Instructors receive: Class A $100 per class / Class B $70 per class • Added Bonus to Instructors – The Foundation will pay the entry fee for PGA HOPE Instructors that attend the Annual Meeting in December. • New Instructor Training seminar for the East Bay is tentatively scheduled for July 25 th at The Ridge GC in Auburn. Another seminar in the South Bay is being considered in 4th quarter. PGA HOPE 2022 -- Spring programs just concluded June 23rd with the completion of the PGA HOPE program at Sierra Sage GC in Reno. The estimated number of veterans served is 250 – which will be confirmed graduate numbers are verified. Regardless of the numbers, we know that if PGA HOPE helps to save one life it is worth it. • The ten Host locations are: Diablo Creek Golf Course, Metropolitan Golf Links, Cypress Lakes Golf Course, Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, Bayonet Black Horse, Mariners Point Golf Center, Presidio Golf Course, Swenson Park Golf Course, Sierra Sage Golf Course, and Santa Teresa Golf Course. PGA HOPE Partner Facilities Needed – The Foundation needs golf course partners that can give back to PGA HOPE veterans through the form of a discount on products or services at their facilities. Any course that would like to be recognized as a PGA HOPE Partner Facility may join by sending in a description of their discount offer which will then be promoted to the PGA HOPE veteran community. Foundation Scholarship Programs ● Chris Thomas PGM Associate Scholarship Program- This $2,500 scholarship is available to Associates Level 2 & above, to provide financial assistance to cover costs associated with PGM course work, which is estimated to be $4,000 over a 4 to 5 year enrollment period. ○ 2022 Winner – The Foundation is pleased to announce Kyle Nielsen, B8 level 3, at Edgewood Tahoe GC, as the winner of this year’s $2,500 scholarship. ● The Langley Scholarship for high school seniors going on to college. The application period is March 1st through July 31st. The $2,000 scholarships are awarded to one male and one female who best fits criteria based on character, community service, academics, and financial need. Let your junior players know about this opportunity. Children of PGA Members are eligible. NCPGA Board of Directors Meeting El Dorado Casino June 26, 2022 PLAYER ENGAGEMENT CONSULTANT REPORT JUNKO HARKINS, PGA As the Player Engagement Department has ‘expanded’ and the titles have changed from Regional League Manager to Player Engagement Consultants – we are slowly getting more versed in the additional products the PGA will have to offer regarding player engagement programming. Below is a good image of what we envision and how all the products PGA has to offer can come to life. Our future vision is to be able to fill the pathway with individual section programming as well, so this can be custom for each section. No matter what, we believe all these products can engage individuals or all skill levels and ages by centering the PGA Golf Professional as the expert guide.
As our new Regional Model has been put into effect, I have been working closely with our Western Region Team to collaborate on a lot of different things. This includes hosting virtual webinars with Career Consultant, Caitlyn Doyle. We have given the section members 3 different opportunities to join us virtually for a Engage, Elevate, and Advance Webinar. This was a way to re-introduce us as PGA of America staff members and how we can help support the members and facilities in the Northern California PGA Section as a team. We hope to do more together the rest of the year and have discussed some ideas looking further into 2023 as well.

There are a few Coaches starting to publish programs for a ‘summer’ and/or ‘fall’ season. Therefore, we should see some higher numbers as we move further along through the year. We are currently getting ready for the Championship Season. Currently, for our section All-Star Season events, we have 11 total 17u All-Star Teams and 33 total 13u All-Star Teams intending to participate. We have 10 more AllStar Teams than last year as of this moment. The new additional pathway of All-Star Play Days just launched. This is an additional revenue stream for PGA Coaches but also an opportunity for a longer All-Star season for players. We are excited to see how it goes. This will open up additional spots at the Regional Championships – both 13u and 17u age divisions will have 8 total teams competing at Regionals this year instead of 4. However, we will still only crown one team as the Championships and the 13u Team will advance to the National Championship. The traditional Section All-Star Season Pathway will look the same as previous years:

Below are NCPGA specific data as of June 3, 2022: As of today, we have ONE facility who has published a program – Mark Naylor at Round Hill CC. His event dates are still TBD. However, we have 7 other NorCal professionals and facilities who have created accounts on the PGA Family Cup website and will be working with them to publish programs and offer to their consumers. The goal this year was to have 8 facilities offer a program. PGA.Coach/PGA.Com PGA Coach saw a lot of action during the week of the PGA Championship. There has been positive feedback with all the business tools that have been launched and of course Modern Coaching courses. Hoping to help professionals find ways to a better work/life balance. ‘Make more, work less hours’. We have increased in the amount of PGA Coaches in the NCPGA since December 2021, we were at 128 and now have 148. Also, happy to see more of you created profiles as well. • • •
We have 148 total professionals who are ADM certified (128 back in Dec 2021) 62 have created profiles (61 back in December) – WE NEED GET MORE INDIVIDUALS TO DO THIS! 27 CURRENT are PGAJL Coaches are ADM certified – this has increased by 29%
