CHURCHES BRING HOPE IN LEBANON
Your Impact: Immediate Relief and Ongoing Care
As violence flared in southern Lebanon in late 2024, thousands of people fled their homes with little more than the clothes they were wearing. In just two weeks, the number of displaced families seeking help surged. Additionally, a large influx of new refugees from the recent unrest in Syria has also arrived in Beirut. Many of them had no food, no medical care, and no place to sleep.
In response, Nazarene churches across Lebanon—together with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries—mobilized to meet urgent needs. Volunteers packed food boxes, cooked warm meals, purchased mattresses, and visited families. In Beirut, the Nazarene clinic continued to provide essential medical care, physical therapy and psychological support to hundreds of families. Churches opened their doors, not only offering survival support, but providing comfort, prayer, and a reminder: You are not alone.
This crisis response is just one part of a broader ministry throughout the country. Nazarene churches in Lebanon are helping families navigate economic instability, offering education, emotional care, and hope in Jesus.

Finding Home, Finding Hope
Displaced families received food, medical care, and basic supplies, reaching a total of 1,700 people in just two weeks.
Volunteers prepared and served 1,500 hot meals, offering nourishment and care to families fleeing violence.
When Rem*, a ninth-grade student fled Syria with her mother, they brought no documents, no support, and no place to turn. Persecuted for their faith, they found refuge in Lebanon—and in the care of the local Nazarene church and school.
With help from NCM, Rem received school fee assistance and food vouchers. For the first time in a long time, she had regular, nutritious meals. Although she’s still separated from her father and lacks official documents, she’s attending school, building friendships, and growing in faith.
Her story is just one example of how the church is helping people discover that God is near, that healing is possible, and that hope still grows—even in hardship.
240 families received monthly food support through packages and vouchers in the first six months of 2025.
Churches distributed 50 mattresses along with blankets and pillows, helping families prepare for the cold season.
