JANUARY
Wedding & Event Faire. The River Lodge Conference Center hosts this annual event featuring local and regional vendors for all your wedding and event needs. Attendees can fi nd gift registries, photographers, venues to rent, fl orists, caterers, bakers, coordinators, travel locations, formal wear, décor, and more. Admission $10. Second Sunday in January. MARCH
Daff odil Festival. The Fortuna Garden Club’s annual Daff odil Show features more than 600 stems of the sunny fl owers on display. Fourth Saturday in March. For information, call (707) 725-7572 for dates. Home-Based Business Expo. A showcase of some of Fortuna’s 170+ home-based businesses. Hosted by the Fortuna Business Improvement District. Farmers’ Market. Fresh local produce, live plants, fresh baked goods, local handmade products, and more. First Tuesday in June until last Tuesday in October. For information, visit northcoastgrowersassociation.org. Lemonade Day. Celebrate and encourage the empowerment of young entrepreneurs. First Saturday in June. Centered in Downtown Fortuna, Main Street and adjoining side streets are fi lled with sellers of antiques, collectibles, and rummage. The rest of town joins in with yard and garage sales all over. First Saturday in June. Art and Wine in the Park. A perfect way to start the summer, this event in Rohner Park features hundreds of wines from local and regional vintners, a fi ne arts area, and a crafts market to browse and shop. Second Sunday in June. JULY
3rd of July Fortuna Fireworks. Independence Day a little early in Friendly Fortuna with family fun, a BBQ, music, and fi reworks from 5:30 -10:30 PM on July 3, in Newburg Park. Fortuna Rodeo. Celebrating its 100th year in 2021, the rodeo itself culminates a week of fun and games for the family. Beginning Monday, enjoy the annual Chili Cook-Off sponsored by the Fortuna Chamber of Commerce in Downtown Fortuna. There are daily activities throughout town, including the Junior Rodeo on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday night, catch the popular event “Bullfi ghters Only.” Saturday

brings a parade, carnival, and shows inside the arena and out. Sunday brings more broncos, bulls, a deep pit BBQ, and barrel racing. For information, visit fortunarodeo.com. Third week in July. Redwood AutoXpo. Throw it back to a cooler time, with vintage cars, hotrods, antique tractors, and farm equipment. Apple Harvest Festival. Enjoy the fruits of fall harvest all over town at six diff erent venues. There’s free apple and cider tasting and orchard tours at Clendenen’s Cider Works, a Downtown Street Fair, activities for the kids at Redwood Village and Strongs Creek, hay wagon rides, a variety sale, and more. Held the Sunday of/or before Halloween, Grave Matters brings haunting tales of both the obscure and the infamous buried in Fortuna’s Sunrise Cemetery to life. Al Gray Electric Lighted Parade. Hosted by Redwood Village Merchants. Bundle up and watch the big rigs, fl oats, and other vehicles decked out in festive lights. Leaves Redwood Village Shopping Center at 6:30 PM and travels through town to Downtown Fortuna. First Friday in December. For information, visit fortunabusiness.com. Fortuna Garden Club Christmas Home Tour and Tea. Enjoy some tea and cookies at the Monday Club before touring holiday decorations in lovely, local homes. Locations vary.
