We understand that these continue to be challenging times for businesses, with ongoing pressures from the rising cost of living and increasing operational expenses. In response, we are pleased to confirm that we have held our membership fees at the same level for the 2026/27 period.
As we approach the end of another financial year, the Noosaville Business Association would like to thank our members, sponsors, volunteers and supporters. The past twelve months have been a year of real growth, collaboration and momentum. Together, we have strengthened our local business community, built valuable partnerships and created new opportunities for businesses to connect and thrive.
Our membership has grown by more than 80%, giving Noosaville businesses a stronger and more influential voice. We hosted and supported more than ten networking and business events, developed a
new Strategic Plan to guide our future, secured grant funding for member-focused programs, and continued advocating for local business interests while promoting Noosaville as a vibrant place to live, work, shop, dine and visit.

Coming Up in 2026–27
NBA - Noosaville Activation Plan: This exciting new initiative officially kicks off on 13 July. It will focus on activating our business precincts, attracting more visitors, supporting local businesses, and celebrating what makes Noosaville special. The plan is proudly sponsored by Noosa Council and supported by Sunshine Coast Music and Events.

Noosa Jazz Festival 2026: A Celebration of Classic Jazz Returns! August 28 – September 6
The Noosaville Business Association is proud to partner once again with the Noosa Jazz Club to bring Noosa’s most beloved jazz events to life. Set against the stunning backdrop of Noosa’s Foreshore, and hinterland, the Noosa Jazz Festival 2026 promises 10 days of live jazz, intimate dining experiences, and unforgettable community moments.
This premier event showcases some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians in a diverse program that includes theatre concerts, restaurant gigs, jazz on the water, and unique venue performances. Whether you’re a dedicated jazz aficionado or simply looking for a fantastic way to enjoy Noosa’s warm hospitality, there’s something for everyone.
Festival Highlights
Opening Night Extravaganza: The Australian Jazz Ensemble joins forces with the Noosa Chorale for a special performance of jazz favourites in a unique choral-jazz fusion. A true musical highlight to kick off the festival.
Dining with Jazz: Enjoy relaxed lunches and dinners paired with live jazz in intimate restaurant settings. Handpicked ensembles transform meals into lively, memorable experiences.

A Brilliant Good Morning Noosaville at Deadly Espresso Cafe
The sun was shining as over 40 local business owners and community members gathered for our latest Good Morning Noosaville coffee catch-up at Deadly Espresso Cafe on Gympie Terrace.
The vibe was warm and welcoming from the moment everyone arrived. Attendees enjoyed the chance to connect, share ideas, and build new relationships with fellow Noosa-region businesses in a relaxed setting. It was the perfect way to kick off the day with energy and positivity.
Deadly Espresso stood out as the ideal host venue. As the only bush tucker cafe on the Sunshine Coast, it offered something truly special. Guests were treated to exceptional coffee, along with delicious bush plum bush tucker bakes, all served with genuine warmth and hospitality.
What made the morning particularly memorable were the inspiring stories shared about SevGen (Seven Generations), the social enterprise behind Deadly Espresso. Their commitment to celebrating Indigenous culture while creating meaningful opportunities for young people in our community was genuinely uplifting. It’s wonderful to see local businesses making such a positive impact both culturally and socially.

In conjunction with Noosa Council, Noosaville Business Association, and Noosa Chamber of Commerce & Industry, invites will be sent to selected businesses for our Noosa Connects - School to Industry Networking Event.
Is your business looking to build a pipeline of local talent? This is an opportunity to connect directly with the people shaping the next generation of Noosa’s workforce.
The event will bring together School Executives, Careers Advisers, Industry Liaison Officers, and Local Business & Industry Representatives — creating a unique space to build relationships that turn into real employment and apprenticeship outcomes.

Business After Five (BA5) Event Recap -
Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club
Another fantastic Business After Five event is in the books! This time the NBA gathered at the newly refurbished Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club, and it was an outstanding evening of relaxed networking, quality conversation, and breathtaking sunset views over the Noosa River.
Members and guests raised a glass to celebrate the Club’s exciting transformation. The venue now boasts a fresh, modern feel with lighter and brighter spaces and sweeping 360-degree river views — a complete revitalisation that perfectly complemented the evening.
We were also treated to valuable community updates from Mayor Frank Wilkie and MP Sandy Bolton, who shared the latest insights on local matters.
A huge thank you to Ashley and his dedicated crew at the Yacht Club for delivering superb food and drinks that kept the evening flowing beautifully.

Fake CAPTCHA Scams
Are Tricking Business Owners: Here's How to Spot One in Seconds
We’ve all been there. You’re trying to access a document or visit a website, and you’re stopped by a little box asking you to prove you aren’t a robot. You click a few pictures of traffic lights, or you tick a box, and you move on. It’s a digital habit we don't even think about anymore.
But there is a new, dangerous trend hitting business owners. Scammers are now using fake CAPTCHA popups to trick you into hacking your own computer.
Cyber Security professionals are seeing more "userassisted" attacks. These don't rely on a secret virus sneaking past your firewall; they rely on you opening the
digital front door and letting the hackers in. Here is how the trap works and, more importantly, how you can stay safe.
The 3-Step Trap: How They Trick You
Most scams try to get you to download a file. This one is different. It asks you to perform a series of "verification steps" that look official but are actually a direct line to your business data.
The popup might look like it’s from Google or Cloudflare.

It will tell you that to "verify your ID," you need to follow these three steps:
1. Press Win + R: This opens the "Run" box on your Windows computer. This box is meant for IT pros to run commands, and it bypasses your web browser’s safety checks.
2. Press Ctrl + V: This "pastes" a code. What you don't know is that the moment you landed on the fake website, it automatically copied a malicious script to your clipboard.
3. Press Enter: This runs the script. Just like that, you’ve executed the hacker's code directly on your system.
Why It Works (and Why You Shouldn't Feel Silly)
Hackers are clever psychologists. This scam works for three simple reasons:
Trust: The popups use familiar logos and colours. If it looks like Google, most people assume it is Google.
The Illusion of Control: Because you are the one pressing the keys, you feel safe. We’ve been taught that as long as we don't "download" a strange file, we are okay. This scam uses your own computer's tools against you.
Habit: We are so used to "proving we are human" that we do it on autopilot.
The Golden Rule of Online Safety
If you remember only one thing from this article, let it be this:
A real CAPTCHA will never ask you to touch your keyboard commands.
A legitimate security check happens entirely inside your web browser. It will ask you to click images or type letters into a box on the page. It will never ask you to open a Windows prompt, use "Win + R," or paste a code into your computer's system settings.
What to Do if You See One
If a website suddenly asks you to follow "keyboard steps" to verify yourself:
1. Stop immediately. Do not press any keys.
2. Close the tab or the browser. If the popup won't let you close it, restart your computer.
3. Report it. If this happened while you were following a link from an email, let your IT team or your managed IT support provider know so they can check for other threats.
Modern business requires modern security. Don't let a "robot test" be the reason your data is compromised.

Over the past few years, the commercial property market across Noosa, Gympie and the broader Sunshine Coast has experienced significant growth, driven by interstate migration, population increases, infrastructure investment and historically low interest rates. As we move further into 2026, market conditions are transitioning into a more measured and disciplined phase.
This shift reflects a moderation in transaction activity and a rebalancing of pricing expectations following the rapid expansion cycle of previous years. Market participants
are now operating in a higher interest rate environment with tighter lending conditions, resulting in increased emphasis on asset fundamentals.
Recent commentary from the Ray White Commercial network indicates that while transaction volumes remain active, market conditions are more selective, with increased due diligence and longer decision-making timeframes evident across most sectors.
Noosa

In Noosa, the commercial market continues to demonstrate resilience relative to many other regional markets across Australia. Limited industrial land supply, tightly held assets and consistent demand from owneroccupiers and private investors continue to support both leasing and sales activity.
While borrowing conditions have tightened across all markets, demand for well-located assets in Noosa remains consistent. Enquiry levels continue to be strongest for industrial stock, reflecting ongoing supply constraints and low vacancy rates across key precincts.
Transaction activity indicates a more selective buyer environment, with outcomes increasingly dependent on asset quality, lease covenant strength and location. Timeframes for decision-making have lengthened compared to previous growth periods, reflecting broader market conditions.
Sunshine Coast (Broader Market)
Across the broader Sunshine Coast region, underlying structural drivers continue to support long-term demand, including population growth, infrastructure development and interstate migration.
Industrial property remains the strongest performing sector across the region. Demand from trade, logistics and service-based users continues to exceed available supply in key industrial precincts. While the rate of rental growth has moderated compared to the peak postCOVID period, leasing demand remains consistent.
Retail performance varies by asset type. Neighbourhood and convenience-based centres continue to demonstrate relative stability, while discretionary retail has been more sensitive to cost-of-living pressures and broader economic conditions.
Office market performance remains segmented. Smaller suites and medical or professional tenancies continue to attract demand, while larger traditional office configurations are experiencing more varied leasing outcomes depending on location and presentation.
Gympie
Gympie continues to emerge as a secondary commercial market within southeast Queensland, supported by
relative affordability compared to coastal regions and improving infrastructure connectivity.
The region is attracting increasing interest from tradebased businesses, industrial occupiers and owneroccupiers seeking lower entry costs and higher yield profiles compared to coastal markets.
While Gympie remains a smaller and less liquid market than Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, it is increasingly being considered within broader regional allocation strategies. Investment activity remains selective, with emphasis on tenant quality, lease structure and asset positioning.
Interest Rates & Market Behaviour
Interest rate increases over recent periods continue to influence investment decision-making across all sectors. Higher borrowing costs have placed greater emphasis on income security, lease duration and cash flow stability.
Market evidence indicates that pricing adjustments across many commercial sectors have moderated following earlier repricing phases in 2024 and 2025. However, pricing outcomes remain highly asset-specific, with variance driven by lease quality, location and demand profile.
Outlook
Capital continues to be active within the commercial property market, although allocation strategies have become more selective. Transaction activity is increasingly concentrated around assets with strong leasing fundamentals and clear income security.
Market conditions are expected to remain influenced by interest rate settings, lending conditions and broader economic policy direction. Infrastructure investment, population growth and migration trends continue to provide underlying support for demand across the Sunshine Coast region.
Overall, the commercial property market across Noosa, Gympie and the Sunshine Coast remains structurally supported. Current conditions reflect a more balanced phase, with outcomes increasingly driven by asset quality and execution rather than broader market momentum.
Noosaville Digital Doorknock Updates
Doonella Lake Bridge Upgrade Works
Noosa Council's contractor, Marine and Civil Maintenance Pty Ltd, is scheduled to commence upgrade works on the Doonella Lake Bridge from Monday, 6 July 2026.
During construction, temporary traffic changes will be in place to ensure the safety of workers and road users. Accessible Public Toilets & Amenities Facility –Quota Park, Noosaville
Construction has commenced on the new accessible and Changing Places accredited amenities facility at Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.
Council's contractor, Carfax Commercial Constructions Pty Ltd, has begun site works. To ensure community safety, sections of Quota Park will be temporarily fenced during construction.
The adjacent car park and foreshore pathway will remain open; however, temporary changes to parking arrangements, pedestrian access, and site movements may be required while works are underway.
