‚Dem Ritter auf der Spur‘ experience museum Who knows the weight of the equipment knights had to ­carry? And what exertions, dangers and new experiences did they glean during their crusades? The 14 themed rooms weave together the story of Heinrich the Knight and Maria, with the history of the Roman roads and the salt roads, as well as pilgrims, crusaders, alchemists and stately homes and castles. This exciting and educational puzzle-filled journey takes you (on foot or using the Ehrenberg Liner inclined lift) from the hermitage – passing the Hornwerk and highline179 – up to Ehrenberg Castle Ruins. ‘The search for the Last Knight at the Schlosskopf’ Your adventure at Schlosskopf Fortress Explore Schlosskopf Fortress as you head in the footsteps of the Last Knight. Find out his name and collect your reward in the visitor centre. There is plenty to discover on the route: 12 stations with tricky questions, gloomy tunnels and lofty viewing towers. From the Alps to the Andes

Alpaca & llama walk Delve into the world of alpacas and llamas, find out useful knowledge about these small camels and stroke their soft wool. Feed the animals out of your hand and experience our alpacas and llamas at close range. Then after a short introduction, we set off on a leisurely walk up & down the mountain together. Tour of the Grünes Haus Museum

Nights at the museum The stately building in the centre of Reutte was built as a residence in the 16th century by an affluent citizen. It was opened in 1989 as a museum. The building is barrier-free. During a visit at an unusual hour get to know the eventful history of the market of Reutte and its inhabitants. In a fun tour you will find out interesting facts and entertaining details about the famous Via Claudia Augusta roman road, the heyday of the salt trade and the life and achievements of many famous personalities from Reutte. In the Grünes Haus

Museum visit The museum in the Green House is located in Reutte’s Untermarkt. The strong shade of green gives the house its name. The wonderful facade was designed in 1779 by Johann Jakob Zeiller. Awaiting you inside are ­beautiful murals and 11 stuccoed ceilings. The museum is proud to be a four-time recipient of the ‘Tyrol Museums Prize’ and the Austrian ‘Museum Quality Seal’. It is barrier-free. Over around 300 m2 of exhibition space you will find a varied and lovingly presented collection. You can see valuable paintings from the painter‘s workshop of the Zeiller artist family. Well worth seeing are the works of Anna Stainer-Knittel, better known as Geierwally. The trail leads from the Karlift lower terminus across the Kälberangerle meadow to the upper terminus and back. Torch-lit walk I A torch-lit walk along the wintry wild river Lech every Wednesday evening. Illuminated only by the gentle glow of the torches, this walk begins at the church in Lechaschau from where your mountain hiking guide will lead you in direction of Hinterbichl, across the ­pedestrian bridge and on the opposite banks of the Lech back to the starting point past the “Lüss”. This ice rink area, appearing for the first time right in the heart of Reutte, promises pure winter fun. But that’s not all – as soon as dusk closes in, the light stagings transform the park into a genuine fairy-tale land. This magical atmosphere evokes enchantment.
