Many of us are interested in holistic practices, but the number of choices and the time needed to research each option to make informed decisions can be overwhelming and confusing.

The word “holistic” means make whole. This refers to our physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, financial, relational, recreational, and social components. The Vernon Healthfest will feature vendors from these areas.

Creativity is a huge part of holistic health, so we have invited craft vendors as well. We will be presenting various workshops throughout both days so attendees can not only learn but also be able to ask questions about various topics that interest them.

Life Coaching serves to support people who are ready to come out into the world as their authentic selves. I believe that once more of us begin to share our sometimes taboo, unique ways of thinking and doing things, we will start to solve the world’s multitude of problems.

To me, coming out means saying “Hell, yes” to what absolutely sparks a passion in my heart, ignites my soul, and pushes me to act with loving abandon After a ten-year drought consisting of a sexless marriage, a toxic work environment, and a depressed, overweight body, I finally took control of my life at age 35. I created a practice that has led me to have filled my life with love, financial security, and, most importantly, purpose.

That purpose is to uncover my clients’ secret wishes that they have been hiding not only from the world but from themselves as well. This uncovering is what I call the Coming Out Process. Getting honest with yourself about why you are here is the first step. It changed my life, and I have seen it change my clients’ lives.

Focus, clarity, confidence, braveness, and direction are right at your fingertips.

Ray Beyor, owner of RAY Life Coaching, provides her clients with resources and practices that clarify their values, set steps toward their purpose, and master confidence while facing fears with patience, compassion, and accountability. Ray’s training in attachment theory, codependency, yoga, meditation, polyamory, consent work, dance, and astrology is used to guide her clients into their authentic and abundant selves. This event is a fundraiser for the Youth Services Bureau of the Town of Vernon. We have had up to 1700 attendees and 90 vendors at some of our past Healthfests. We are making a comeback from COVID-19, and we look forward to great participation and two exciting and enriching days!

After you’ve visited our exhibitors and joined one of our informative workshops, you’ll be pleased to visit our local restaurant vendors, including Monet’s Table, for a nutritious and fully-satisfying meal—and there are plenty of healthy snack choices!

The practitioners, product vendors, workshops, and authors will provide you with a much greater understanding of how holistic modalities can enhance your overall well-being. Come learn about your natural health options and make informed decisions about what’s right for you.

The Healthfest will be held at the Vernon Center Middle School, 777 Hartford Turnpike, 1 0am–4 pm, April 15–16. Admission is $5 and free for those under 16 if accompanied by an adult. For more information, visit http://vernonhealthfest.com. Vendors may inquire on the website as well. See ad on page 7 >
