Jan Jackson is the Owner and Creative Director of the Bella Grind Brand. Her mission is to provide a space for black women ’ s voices to be elevated and their stories celebrated via media platforms, inspirational apparel, and empowerment events. The Bella Grind Podcast and Magazine is a space for black women's stories to be celebrated while the SIMPLY JAN vlog captures her daily grind as an entrepreneur balancing family and friendships. Bella Grind Apparel is empowerment clothing with positive messages of self-love and POWER This clothing line is for the woman who lives out loud and stands boldly in her truth Lastly, the Bella Grind Alliance is an outreach initiative to give back to others via signature events, service projects, mentoring, and speaking engagements Jan Jackson prides herself on being a servant leader who is a bridge that connects people to people and people to opportunity She strives to transform communities into a place where black and brown women and families can thrive by designing equitable opportunities and building coalitions around inclusion and empowerment

Mrs Jackson is also an educational leader in the field of education where she serves educators by engaging and building purposeful professional development, policies, and practices to support all educators She has over twenty years of experience which includes mentoring, strategic planning, program development, and leading teams Mrs Jackson is a visionary who has used the skills she honed as an educator to become a successful businesswoman She is the founder and past Chief Executive Officer of the Books for Miles Foundation whose mission is to promote the joy of literacy among disadvantaged children and youth in underserved metro Atlanta locations by donating books, creating children's libraries, and participating in reading initiatives with community-based organizations Her foundation has donated over 10,000 children’s books to schools, shelters, and learning centers nationally

She is a member of the South Fulton Chamber’s Education Committee in Fulton County, Georgia where she leads efforts to promote resources that support economic development and opportunities to forge strategic business-school partnerships She is a founding member of the South Fulton Mental Health Collaborative, a partnership with Fulton County Schools, the South Fulton Parent Group, and Odyssey Family Counseling which seeks to connect parents and youth to resources that support education, health, and wellness Lastly, she expands her work with diversity, equity, and inclusion by serving on the Board of Directors for GendHer, an organization that seeks to increase women and girls’ ability to navigate the political system and advocate for laws that impact them and their families In her spare time, Jan Jackson enjoys traveling with her family, managing her personal brand, Bella Grind, LLC, and serving as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, INC, and Junior League of Atlanta
