SUB FLOOR PREPARATION

The surface must be clean, dry, firm and free of dust oil, grease, wax and curing compounds. The substrate must be installed according to the relevant standards and manufacturer recommendations. All porous surfaces must be primed with Grants PR100 Primer, 3 parts water to 1 part primer. For non-porous surface such as existing tiles, it must be primed using Grants Primer Grip. Please contact National Tiles for further information.

MIXING

Mix 2 to 2.5 litres of water to 20kg of Grants SC200. Mix with a mixing paddle until a creamy consistency is achieved and powder is free of lumps. Allow mixture to stand for 3 minutes, remix, then use the screed. Do not over water as this will promote bleed and separation with a reduction in bond and strength.

MOVEMENT JOINTS

Movement joints must be in accordance with Australian Standard AS 3958-2023.

APPLICATION

• Do not apply Grants SC200 below 5°C and above 40°C

• Minimum thickness is 15mm for bonded screeds on concrete.

• Minimum thickness for unbonded screeds is 40mm.

• Maximum thickness applied in any one application can be up to 200mm.

SHELF LIFE

Grants SC200 has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when stored in the original unopened bag in dry conditions. High temperature and humid conditions may reduce the overall shelf life. It is recommended to store out of direct sunlight and directly off cold floors.

HEALTH & SAFETY

It is always recommended to use the correct personal protective equipment when handling and mixing screed. For information and advice please refer the most recent SDS sheet available from the National tiles website or speak with an SAS Technical Representative.
