World Kidney Day 2022

It’s the topic that’s too BIG to ignore!

World Kidney Day which took place on Thursday 10th March 2022, is a worldwide annual event. The event is one of the biggest events of the renal world. It highlighted just how big an issue kidney disease is and how it affects one in ten people worldwide. It not only affects those with the disease but also family, friends and carers too. Awareness of kidney disease is vital in moving forward and World Kidney day was a chance to get everyone involved and help us get kidney awareness on the radar. Despite still being in the midst of COVID-19, we still had a chance to celebrate this very important day. NKF would like to thank all those who shared their stories, pictures and all the other ways they showed their fantastic support. Please enjoy the pictures of how the day was celebrated! The day was led by the Kidney Charities Together Group which are: National Kidney Federation Kidney Care UK Kidney Research UK Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Charity UK Kidney Association (UKKA) Kidney Wales
