Liam O’Connor, one of Ireland’s leading fiddle players, was born into a musical family in Dublin. His solo CD “The Loom” received 5 star reviews and was voted Trad Album of the Year 2017 by the Irish Times.

A joyful exploration of the work of some of the trailblazing women at work in traditional and folk music today featuring Eleanor McEvoy, the US composer and fiddler Liz Carroll, three heroines of traditional song Karan Casey, Pauline Scanlon and Niamh Dunne, renowned English folk singer Marry Waterson, the British/Palestinian singer Reem Kelani, and the sibling chemistry of Maighread and Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill.
