One place. Our tools. Your way.

Hi Sydney! What will you discover this year?
Welcome to the Kitchen+Bath Show, part of the Design Show Australia portfolio of co-located industry exhibitions. We’ve curated a show floor of authentic, high-performance products designed to make your visit both inspiring and commercially valuable.
This year, we’re proud to bring together a stronger and more focused mix of exhibitors leading international brands alongside Australia’s most progressive kitchen, bathroom and storage companies. They are joined by the people who shape how spaces are delivered: architects, fit out experts, interior designers, developers, builders, and design leaders.
We’re delighted to bring the kitchen and bathroom design community together in one place to discover new products and solutions, solve real project challenges, build meaningful connections, and share ideas that will shape the future of residential and commercial spaces.
What to expect
A place to connect face-to-face and experience product innovation in its most tangible form. Explore solutions up close, test materiality and finishes, and see detailing, engineering, and functionality in real life. Because you don’t know what you don’t know until you see it here.
Across the show floor, you’ll discover the latest thinking in kitchen and bathroom design: smarter storage systems, integrated surfaces, advanced fixtures and fittings, and new approaches to performance, durability, and sustainability.
Our free-to-attend speaker program runs across the co-located theatres throughout the event, bringing together leading voices from across architecture, interiors, and the broader built environment. This year’s program features both international perspectives and leading Australian practitioners, offering insight into where the industry is heading next.
Share your experiences at Kitchen+Bath Show

MEDIA PARTNERS

Welcome to the Kitchen+Bath Show!
On behalf of the Australian Cabinet and Furniture Association (ACFA) and the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi), we’re delighted to be supporting partners at this year’s Kitchen+Bath Show within Design & Build Week.
This event brings together the very best of our industry—where ideas are shared, innovations unveiled, and connections strengthened. Kitchens and bathrooms continue to lead the way in residential design, balancing performance with personality and offering some of the most rewarding opportunities for thoughtful, impactful design.
Following the successful merger of ACFA and KBDi, we’re proud to represent a more connected industry—one that brings designers, manufacturers, and makers into closer alignment. Together, we’re building a stronger, more unified voice that supports every stage of the process, from early design concepts through to fabrication, installation, and completion. It’s a whole-of-industry approach, grounded in collaboration and shared expertise.
As you explore the Show, we encourage you to engage with the many exhibitors, attend sessions, and make the most of the knowledge and experience available. Events like this play an important role in strengthening our industry, and we’re pleased to support the partners who make them possible.
If you’d like to learn more about how ACFA and KBDi are working together to support professionals across the sector, we’d love to connect—please visit our stand for a chat.

The Australian kitchen and bathroom industry is rapidly evolving. Clients are expecting more sophisticated spaces, seamless technology integration, and increasingly personalised outcomes – all within tighter timelines. At the same time, designers, cabinetmakers, builders, and suppliers are navigating labour shortages, rising costs, supply chain pressures, and growing technical complexity.
In this environment, successful projects are no longer driven solely by design talent or manufacturing capability. Collaboration is the new gamechanger.
Across the industry, there is a noticeable shift away from siloed project delivery and towards more integrated partnerships among designers, makers, and construction teams. The projects running most smoothly today are those where communication begins early, documentation is comprehensive, and all parties work from shared information throughout the process.
As joinery becomes increasingly customised and interior detailing more technically demanding, the quality of coordination between design intent and construction reality can directly affect timelines, budgets, and client satisfaction.
One of the most important shifts has been the rise of collaborative digital workflows. Shared cloud-based documentation, 3D modelling, and live revision tracking are reducing ambiguity and helping teams resolve issues long before installation begins. Designers can communicate intent more clearly, while makers and builders can identify potential construction conflicts earlier in the process.
This is particularly valuable in contemporary residential projects, where kitchens and bathrooms now incorporate complex appliance integration, concealed services, layered lighting, advanced hardware systems, and highly detailed material transitions. These spaces are no longer isolated rooms — they are technical environments requiring precise coordination between multiple trades.

Documentation standards are also becoming more critical. Vague drawings, incomplete specifications, or unresolved selections can quickly cause delays and cost overruns on site. Increasingly, successful projects rely on highly detailed documentation that considers not only aesthetics but also manufacturability, tolerances, ventilation requirements, service locations, installation sequencing, and site conditions.
Early involvement of makers and trades is proving equally important. Cabinetmakers and joiners bring valuable practical insight into material behaviour, construction methods, lead times, and installation constraints. When these conversations occur during the design phase — rather than after documentation is complete — projects tend to achieve stronger outcomes with fewer compromises.
The industry is also seeing a growing emphasis on structured handover processes. Pre-production meetings, digital sign-off checkpoints, and site verification procedures are helping to reduce costly misunderstandings between design, manufacturing, and installation teams. These systems not only improve efficiency but also increase transparency for clients, who increasingly expect certainty about timelines, specifications, and final outcomes.
KBDi and ACFA are responding to this shift through a more collaborative industry approach of their own. By bringing together designers, cabinetmakers, joiners, and suppliers under a shared ‘concept to completion’ philosophy, both organisations are working to strengthen communication, raise professional standards, and encourage greater cross-disciplinary understanding across the project lifecycle.
Through joint events, technical education, industry resources, and collaborative networking opportunities, the partnership aims to support a more connected and informed industry — one where design vision and construction expertise work hand in hand to deliver better outcomes for both professionals and clients alike.

A well-designed space doesn’t always translate into a photograph - and in an industry where imagery underpins portfolios, awards and publications, that disconnect can be costly. In this session, interior and architectural photographer Mark Burrough explores how design decisions are interpreted through the lens, revealing the factors that can elevate or diminish a project on camera. From lighting and materiality to composition and contrast, he’ll highlight common pitfalls that flatten a space and share practical strategies to ensure your work captures the scene with clarity and impact. You’ll also gain insight into the balance between styling and design, and how thoughtful preparation can strengthen the final result.

Even the best designs face challenges once construction begins. What looks perfect on drawings doesn’t always translate seamlessly on site. This candid panel brings together architects, designers, builders and installers to explore where projects most commonly start to break down - and how better communication between disciplines can turn those moments into better outcomes. If you work in design, construction or renovation, this session offers practical insights into how stronger collaboration leads to better projects.”

This panel will tackle the real challenges of apprenticeships in the current market - from recruitment and training costs to productivity, mentoring and retention. Panellists will share practical insights on building sustainable apprenticeship pathways, balancing business pressures, and creating environments where apprentices can develop into long-term, skilled team members.

Most joinery businesses don’t struggle because they’re short of good people or good intentions. They struggle because too much of the business still runs from people’s heads, scattered messages, spreadsheets, emails, whiteboards and disconnected software. In this practical talk, Bruce shares why simply buying a system won’t magically fix the business, and why business teams need to shift their own habits first. You’ll learn how to start thinking systematically, create one source of truth, reduce friction between departments, and get the team working with more clarity and flow. Bruce will also share how JBOS helps connect the moving parts of a joinery business, from lead to install, while still linking with tools like Xero and Jobman.

You’ve saved the images. You know exactly what you want. The stone. The joinery. The appliances. The detail. Then the numbers come back - and suddenly the benchtop gets downgraded, the cabinetry gets simplified, and the kitchen you imagined starts slipping away. What if it doesn’t have to? In this powerful session, home design expert Ania Mikina breaks down the early planning decisions that make or break your renovation budget - and ultimately determine whether you can afford the kitchen you really want. If you’re building or renovating, this is the session that could change everything - because the kitchen you can afford is decided by choices you’ve already made, often without realising it.

Ania Mikina Home Design Expert | Founder Zephyr + Stone
Kitchens and bathrooms are some of the most frequently renovated spaces - often replaced not because materials fail, but because layouts no longer support the people using them. This session challenges you to rethink sustainability as more than material selection, focusing instead on layout intelligence, durability, and long-term performance. Explore how longevity, adaptability, intelligent planning, biophilic principles, and appropriate technology integration work together to create spaces that genuinely perform over time.

The most successful renovations aren’t defined by dramatic transformations, but by the thinking behind them. In this session, Gavin reveals how thoughtful planning, design expertise, and a deep understanding of real-world constraints turn complex renovation projects into cohesive, enduring homes.
