Pre-shoot checklist

Whole Home

All light globes working (including lamps, pendants & exterior)

Curtains and blinds fully open

Hide everyday clutter: shoes, keys, bags, toys

Cords tucked away or out of sight

All surfaces dusted and floors vacuumed/mopped

Windows cleaned inside and out (if possible)

Hide bins, pet bowls, and any pet bedding

Consider removing personal items like photos or personal decor

Bedrooms

Beds neatly made with pillows arranged and matching (if possible)

Remove portable fans, laundry hampers, phone chargers

Clear bedside tables: keep it simple, lamp and one accessory

Hide under-bed storage if visible

Living Areas

Cushions neatly arranged

Coffee tables and side tables cleared or lightly styled

Remove personal décor (e.g. photo frames, kids’ artwork)

Rugs straightened and any toys removed

Open-plan areas free from visual clutter

Outdoor Areas

Lawns freshly mowed and edged

Sweep paths, decks, and patios

Gardens neatened up

Outdoor furniture clean and arranged

Pool/spa clean, covers off and cleaned

Cars removed from driveway and front of house

Hide bins, hose reels and empty pot plants

Remove toys, pet bowls, tools, etc.

Kitchen

Benchtops completely clear, max 1–2 styled items (e.g. fruit bowl or plant)

Empty the sink and put away dish racks

Tea towels, sponges, soaps, and fridge magnets removed

Appliances wiped down and bins out of sight

Bathrooms

Towels either neatly hung or completely removed

Bench space cleared — max 1–2 neutral items if styled

Wipe mirrors, tapware, and sinks

Toilet lids closed

Toilet brushes, bins, floor mats removed

Remove toiletries & toothbrushes

Remove things like shampoo and conditioner from sight
