It’s time to begin building the bookshelf you’ve been eagerly awaiting! Start by taking the Arched Top (A) and connecting it to the Middle Side Frame (B) with the Wooden Dowels (9). Then secure in place using the Ø1/4” x 30mm Hex Button Head Bolts (1), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Step 2

Locate all three of the Open Shelves (C) and attach them to the Middle Side Frame (B) using the Wooden Dowels (9) as well as Ø1/4” x 30mm Hex Button Head Bolts (1), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Step 3

Things are coming together quickly! Attach the other side of the bookshelf to the one with the shelves using the Wooden Dowels (9). Then to really secure things, use Ø1/4” x 30mm Hex Button Head Bolts (1), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Step 4

Next, connect the Back Stretcher (H) to the Top Cabinet Panel (F) using the Wooden Dowels (9) and the following parts: Ø1/4” x 65mm Hex Button Head Bolts (3), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Connect the Magnetic Door Catch (13) using the screws (14). Ensure the correct side of the magnetic door catch is facing forward, following the image below.

Step 6

Now insert the Cam Lock Bolts (7) into the Left Bottom Side Panel (D) and Right Bottom Side Panel (E). Ensure that the screws are screwed all the way down so they are flush with the ledge.

Step 7

Time to connect the Top Cabinet Panel (F) and the Bottom Cabinet Panel (G) to the Right Bottom Side Panel (E). To complete this, you will need the Wooden Dowels (9) as well as Ø1/4” x 30mm Hex Button Head Bolts (1), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Step 8 x2pcs 8

Unfold the Back Panel (I) and slide it into the divots on the assembly you have been working on. Use the Cam Locks (8) to make sure everything is secure.

The back panel needs to be inserted vertically into the groove in the side panel

How to use cam locks

Did you know?

Cam locks are used to join two panels together, usually the edge of one to the flat side of another.

First, your cam bolt (or cam pin) will need to be properly inserted into the flat side of the board.

Important Note: Only tighten the cam bolt until it is secure. Do not over-tighten.

Next, you will fit the proper hole on the edge of the associated joining panel over the cam bolt.

Important Note: When installed properly, the head of the cam bolt will be visible through the larger hole on the side of the joining panel.

Next, you will notice the cam lock has a “C” shaped back. Commonly, an arrow on the front of the cam lock points in the same direction as the open section on back.

Using these as your cue, insert the cam lock into the large hole so the opening of the “C” fits over the head of the cam bolt.

Using a screwdriver, you will turn the cam lock until it stops, usually at 90º or 180º. You will feel the panels pulling closer until they are secured.

Important Note: Only turn the cam lock until the panels are fully engaged & feel secure. Turning too far may lead to hardware failure.

Still having issues?

If a cam lock seems to be spinning in place or is not “catching” or pulling the panels together as expected, first remove the cam lock & try again while making sure that everything is properly positoned & oriented.

If you are still having issues getting things working as expected, first remove the cam lock then unscrew the cam bolt slightly (less than 1 complete turn) to see if that helps with the alignment of the cam lock & bolt.

Step 9

Insert the Wooden Dowels (9) following the image below. Once complete, align the Left Bottom Side Panel (D) and push down. Then secure in place using Ø1/4” x 30mm Hex Button Head Bolts (1), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Next, place the Cam Locks (8) in the designated holes and turn clockwise to catch onto the screws.

Connect the top section of the bookshelf to the bottom piece using the Wooden Dowels (9) first and then the Ø1/4” x 45mm Hex Button Head Bolts (2), Ø1/4” x 10mm Spring Washers (4), Ø1/4” x 13mm Flat Washers (5), and the Allen Key (6).

Step 12

Almost to the finish line! Insert the Shelf Pins (12) into the corresponding holes based on how high you want the interior shelf to be. Then place the Adjustable Shelf (J) right on top.

Step 13

Attach the Hinges (10) using the M3.5x15mm Screws (11) and your screwdriver to both the Left Door (K) and Right Door (L).

x8pcs 10 11

Step 14 x16pcs 11

Connect the doors to the cabinet using the M3.5x15mm Screws (11). This will require 4 screws per hinge. Don’t forget to adjust the feet to balance the bookshelf.

Is your cabinet door looking crooked or unevenly spaced?

Then you’ve come to the right place. Follow the illustrations below to get your cabinet door aligned and ready for action.

Is your cabinet door looking crooked or unevenly spaced? (Cont.)

If you’re still having trouble lining everything up, your next step should be to try to adjust the feet slightly to square up the cabinet & doors. Follow the illustrations below:

If the right door appears to be hanging low, you can adjust the adjustable leveler on the front right until the door is better aligned.

If the left door appears to be hanging low, you can adjust the adjustable leveler on the front left until the door is better aligned.
