Recognizing the diverse student community at UDLAP (University of the Americas Puebla), Nube bench was designed using a parametric approach, aiming to transform everyday campus moments into extraordinary experiences. The bench invites students to sit, lounge, or lie down in multiple ways, evoking the sensation of floating on a cloud an open, playful space for relaxation and connection.

P L A Y V I D E O
This project was a collaborative effort from start to finish. We began by developing conceptual sketches and creating detailed 3D models using Rhino. In the university’s architecture lab, we brought our design to life using a variety of tools and techniques, and ultimately building the Nube bench ourselves, hands-on.

Students at UDLAP come from all over the world. Therefore, there is a remarkable diversity in the community. We wanted this to be represented on the bench with different shapes and colors, following our cloud concept, which comes from the flow between the paths and the natural environment within the university. The bench blends in with the environment and human interaction; in other words, the furniture adapts to different postures.

Award: First Place
Inspiration: Textile Culture in Mexico
Contest: Camara de la Industria Textil PueblaTlaxcala Contest
Objective: Transform an old warehouse into a dynamic co-working space that inspires textile artisans, celebrates the richness of Mexican textile art, and nurtures the next generation of Mexican entrepreneurs in the textile industry.

The design aimed to immerse users in the vibrant world of threads, creating a sensory journey through textile art. Every corner of the space was thoughtfully crafted to inspire—from the textile-infused ceilings and rich color palette to the custom-designed furniture, all echoing the textures and spirit of Mexican craftsmanship.

We incorporated thoughtful details throughout the design that enhance the working experience. Each corner is unique —vibrant, colorful, and filled with character.
Certain areas invite users to lie back, relax, and find inspiration in comfort. Imagination and a rich mix of materials played a fundamental role in shaping the space, encouraging creativity and celebrating diversity in every design choice.

Collaboration was key throughout every stage of the project from blue-sky brainstorming and concept development to feasibility analysis, detailed design, and execution.
I contributed to the creation of layouts, architectural plans, and defining the project’s scope.
I also played a hands-on role in building the physical model and supported the post-production of visual elements.
After the contest, our team continued the journey by participating in the installation and construction process as part of an internship experience.

Inspiration: 3D Experiences & Set
Design
Type: Show Production
Materials: White Foam - board

Objective: Design and fabricate a custom stage set for the Annual Business Conference at UDLAP, translating the event’s visual identity into an immersive three-dimensional experience. W
The set design was created specifically for UDLAP’s Annual Business Conference. As the design team, we drew inspiration from the event’s promotional materials—extracting its typography and color palette—and translated them into a three-dimensional stage experience. Through this process, we brought the energy and coherence of the digital graphics into the physical space.
The 3D letters, crafted in pure white, acted as dynamic canvases transforming instantly with changes in lighting angle and color. For us, the challenge and joy lay in taking something digital and reimagining it physically, immersing the audience in a space where design and experience seamlessly converged.
