Community Monitoring at Mud Islands Port Phillip Heads Marine Na2onal Park Saturday 23rd February 2019 Parks Victoria is delighted to invite you to join us aboard the SV Pelican 1 to par2cipate in a variety of community monitoring ac2vi2es at Mud Islands, Port Phillip Heads Marine Na2onal Park as a part of the Two Bays 2019 program. The day is focussed on encouraging greater community par2cipa2on in Port Phillip’s marine protected areas and ongoing monitoring for these parks. The ac2vi2es undertaken form part of the Sea Search Program developed for community monitoring in Victoria’s Marine Na2onal Parks and Marine Sanctuaries. Informa2on collected through Sea Search is used to inform management as well as provide meaningful opportuni2es for community involvement.

WHEN

Saturday 23rd February 2019. Meet at 8:00am in front of the Parks Victoria Queenscliff Office for an 8:30 departure from Queenscliff Harbour, returning around 4:30pm

WHO

The program is open to all those with an interest in marine monitoring from across the state. Preference is given to new par2cipants that have not been involved in this program in previous years. Community volunteers from various Friends Groups, representa2ves from key partner organisa2ons, and Parks Victoria staff will be involved on the day.
