In June 2017 I received my Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with Distinction from the University of Dundee in Scotland, UK.

LANGUAGES

I am a passionate part I architect with the number of prizes, publications and a number of national exhibition where my projects were displayed for the public. I have gained my professional experience working in small local practice and a big company in London. It influenced and helped me to establish my opinion on what kind of architecture I am interested in. I have also gained 2-year professional experience in the field of graphic design, working part time during the course of my architecture studies. I combine my interest in traveling, people, culture, psychology, and intention to change my surroundings for better in my approach to design architecture. In my opinion, architecture is about people. I am interested in people and making the world a better place. My main drive to do architecture is that I believe architecture has a life-changing impact on people and communities. I believe it is essential for the building to be well designed through all the means but what is making it truly beautiful is making people happy to use it. I believe it is true value its beneficial impact on local community. I attempt to make my architecture be valuable in that way.

I am pleased to provide a personal reference for Natalia Kowalska and I co n f i r m i n M a y 2 0 1 7 t h a t N a ta l i a s u cce s s fu l l y co m p l ete d Yea r 3 B A rc h w i t h Distinction. I have tutored and reviewed Natalia at various stages throughout her three years of full time study and over that time I have witnessed her growth and maturation in intellectual performance, creative application and architectural understanding. Natalia has a remarkably strong work ethic, she will research her topic of study in great depth in order to gain reasoned understanding and vision then apply task specific methodologies to conclusion. Important within the academic world is working with others and throughout her studies at this university Natalia demonstrated an excellent ability to work with others. Her natural adoption of strategic thinking ensures that all of her activities are focused on the common task, she is not easily diverted by unimportant issues. Natalia has discussed with me her desire is to gain a meaningful year in practice where her understanding of and commitment to architecture can really benefit. Natalia in addition to her intellectual attributes is an extremely sensitive human being who always takes cognisance of others and I can imagine her contributing so well to the outputs of any architectural team. Accordingly I can give my highest recommendation on behalf of Natalia concerning consideration for potential employment within architecture.

EXPRESSING IDEAS THROUGH DRAWING YR 3 | 2017 DRAWING EXCERSIZE > The

exercise was supossed to develop the ability to express ideas and thoughts solely through drawing, without using any words. The collage is a final outcome of the week-long experiment presenting the concept of the building visually.

Casa das Histรณrias Paula Rego / Eduardo Souto de Moura _How is the building placed in its topography, how is it orientated, how does it relate to the ground, how does it react in a built and/or landscape context?

+ _Describe the organization of spaces and the ideas which underpin this - explore horizontal and vertical relationships and movement between the spaces and between inside and outside (e.g. plan and section)

_How are the openings placed and what are their characteristics? What relationship arises between interior and exterior spaces? What is the character of the interior spaces, and how are the materials implemented? How does light enter the space?

Natural methods i n c l u d e : t h e r m a l m a s s , r a d i a t i o n - r e f l e ctive materials, venturi and stack effect.

venturi effect

external envelope is shaped in a way to enable venturi effect, double skin then is acting as an air shaft

high thermal capacity wall is placed on the N side, the absorbed coolth is transfered to the floor slab that is cooled by ground

the surface of N facade is orientated to maximize heat loss, on the S side highly reflective fabric is restricting the amount of direct sunglight reaching te plants

stack effect

itnternal ventilation

to maximize the impact of stack effect, there might be a steel device that is providing higher temterature in the top part of the building

To enhance the impact of thermall storage wall, metal radiator might be placed on the outside what would accelerate the heat loss and keep the thermall mass always cool

Internal ventilation is enabled throught to the opening bottom vent, that in case of strong wind might support in-between skins ventilation
