I had the opportunity to learn a lot about marketing and how to use those skills to attract a client or grow a brand.

Ceremony Architecture and life both speak of their time, but yearn for timelessness. The design is aimed to make the union, the departure and every little celebration of life, eternal in its own time. Tadao Ando, a Japanese architect rightly said, “ We borrow from nature the space upon which we build.” Situated between Sham Castle and the Bath Skyline Walk, the site furnishes beautiful views of the city of Bath on one side and frames the sky with Sham Castle on the other. It would be utterly unfair to the all the pedestrians and civilians who have long enjoyed the mesmerizing views of Bath, if the building was to stand tall hiding away the beauty. Thus, the building has been concealed from the public eye but succeeds in having the scenic paranoma from all its spaces. Respecting the scenery ,this is achieved by having the top floor roof as an extension of the Sham castle landscape. So the building’s relation to its surrounding context becomes that of concealing, yet enhancing the space.
Site context The site is placed near Sham Castle on Bathwick hill in Bath, UK (51.4°N -2.3°W)(Figure 1). It is surrounded by deciduous trees on the northern and southern sides, thus casting shadows towards the building in winter. The building emerges from the ground thus making light difficult to reach in various areas, resulting in need for skylights. As seen from the wind rose diagram the prevailing wind comes from the south-west direction. However, it is important to note that due to the site’s location on the hill as well as the tunnelling effect of the trees on each side, the wind creates an updraft from the west and block most of the wind from the southwest.

Commune The brief was an exploration of how architecture may have a potential to create environments that can have positive effects in an individual as well as a community on the basis of lifestyle, physical health, mental health etc. For my Project, I am working with a charitable trust that helps people who have a hectic lifestyle due to their stressful jobs. These are people come from the following fields and aren’t well-off financially which affects their social and personal life. Thus, my theme is Life Coaching and Meditation. Corporate

Castle Park Housing
Castle Park Housing The brief seeked a proposal for a new affordable housing development within Castle Park in Bristol. The context overlooked a commercial road, ruins and a river view. Using those views as advantage, the buildings were contextually designed leaving as much space for the original park as possible. My role within the group project was initial masterplanning and designing of one of the apartment blocks and commercial zone.

Residential Block development programme
Started with a basic monolithic shape for the north block. It was chosen to respond to the building opposite the street.
The block was cut slant from the south end to respond to the southern houses.
The staggering with protruding windows worked well in responding to the south, however did not work well for the privacy per house. Thus the windows had to be made separate.
Windows protrude from the slant, taking inspiration from Allison Brooke Architects. Also provided with a break from the slant and respond more to the staggering on the south.
The height of every floor was generous and thus needed to be reduced a bit.
The protruding windows help with the shading from the south sunlight. The arches are used as a buffer from the general public and differentiate the retail from the residential

Reparation
Reparation The brief seeked a proposal for a new building on the site of the recently toppled statue of Edward Colston in Bristol’s city centre in response to the events following the death of George Floyd. The building, which could take the form of an exhibition, educational or events space, should both mark this momentous event in Bristol’s long and controversial association with the Transatlantic Slave Trade and provide a vehicle through which legacy issues such as reconciliation, inequality and racism can be actively acknowledged and discussed. The building should promote public Engagement and Discourse and serve as a place for Recognition and Reflection. My design includes an exhibition space showcasing artifacts th the structure derived from the base of the slave ships used during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. There is a play between light and shadow to create spaces of discomfort in order to promote reflection and Public engagment

Railway Bridge
Railway Bridge The group project revolves around regenerative designing and promotes wellbeing. Located in Swindon's History Action Zone, the site has a rich historical significance on both sides of the railway track. The brief is an attempt to connect these two sides via a railway crossing bridge as an alternative to the commonly used underpass.

Dabok Farmhouse Development of a Private farmhouse land into a resort plus wedding venue. The project boasts 6 Villas with capacities of 3 BHK and 4 BHK along with personal swimming pools. The remainder site comes with two wedding gardens, a sensory garden and an al-fresco restaurant. My role involved initial designing, masterplanning, drafting, creating presentation drawings, 3D modelling and rendering. I learnt masterplanning, optimum use of space and effective ways to use precedents. I had the opportunity to experience my first Client-Architect meeting, getting to know the requirements of the client, presenting them with the designs and making changes accordingly. I used AutoCAD, Sketchup and Lumion to provide with drawing and 3D views of the project. I learnt about presentation drawings, and skillful use of Photoshop to produce said drawings.
Narlai Wedding Garden Landscaping project for a more than 100,000 sqft wedding garden. My role within the project included inital designing, design development, drafting, 3D modelling and rendering. An interesting triangular site, it provided me with tons of opportunities to learn about optimum use of space as well as circulation of guests and services. The project included two wedding gardens, a swimming pool, conference halls and an al-fresco restaurant. I used AutoCAD, Sketchup and Lumion to provide with drawing and 3D views of the project. I learnt about 'killer' views, which are the best views to concisely show the complete scheme.
Rangwala Farmhouse Landscaping project introducing a farm-to-table concept, in a private farmhouse. My role within the project were initial designing, site visits to analyse the site and to produce initial design schemes with adaptable seating arrangements, responding to the existing tree cover. The swimming pool was to be repurposed into a shaded seating area. My role also included making technical drawings for various hardscaping elements as well as creating and rendering the 3d models using SketchUp and Lumion. I was able to learn a lot about the concept of farm-to-table, a novel idea in my city; about adaptive or 'fluid' planning and new skills in 3d modelling.
