Force protection exercise begins Tuesday, expect base delays From NAS Key West Public Affairs

he force protection and anti-terrorism exercise Solid Curtain-Citadel Shield 2016 begins Monday and will last through Feb. 12. Personnel can expect an increased security posture

at Naval Air Station Key West for the duration of the exercise. SC-CS 16 is a force protection exercise conducted by Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Commander, Navy Installations Command on all Navy installations in the continental U.S. to allow

Navy security personnel to hone skills and situational readiness using real-life training scenarios. SC-CS 16 is not in response to any explicit threat, but is a planned annual exercise. Measures have been taken to minimize disruptions to normal base operations, but there may be
