WELCOME TO

To all my fellow Sounds fans…

Welcome to First Horizon Park for another exciting season of Sounds baseball!

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of First Horizon Park in Germantown, and so much has changed since this wonderful facility opened its doors. One of the most exciting developments is the transformation of the surrounding neighborhood.

Today, Germantown offers some of the most attractive options for living, working, and dining in Middle Tennessee. We hope that even more Middle Tennesseans will take the opportunity to experience all that First Horizon Park has to offer this season.

For the past 10 years, First Horizon Bank has proudly been the naming rights sponsor of this fantastic venue, and we are grateful to the Sounds organization for making this a cornerstone of our community.

So, grab your favorite snack, a refreshing drink, and enjoy the game! We’re thrilled to have you with us for what promises to be the best season ever at First Horizon Park.

Let’s play ball!

Sounds Fans –

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Nashville Sounds baseball and the 10th anniversary season of First Horizon Park. Whether it is your first Sounds game or your 1,000th, we are excited to have you at the park.

We would not be where we are today without the support of our partners, season ticket members, group leaders and single-game buyers. Thank you for making Nashville Sounds baseball one of Middle Tennessee’s premier entertainment experiences. Because of your enthusiasm, First Horizon Park was named one of the top 10 Minor League ballparks in the country by 10Best and USA Today in 2024. Being named to this prestigious list is a testament to the support of our fans, and we share this recognition with all of Sounds nation.

We are also proud to have become the first-ever recipient of Minor League Baseball’s Driving Diversity Award through an organizational effort to welcome fans of all backgrounds through a variety of programming and available resources.

As you settle in for a day at the park, I invite you to experience and explore everything First Horizon Park has to offer. From The Band Box to the all-inclusive ticket options, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Hit City. During our 10th season at First Horizon Park, we are excited to surpass five-million fans through the gates since our opening. Our anniversary season includes an expansive promotional schedule highlighted by 26 total gate giveaways, 14 firework shows, and plans to celebrate some of the biggest and most exciting moments in Sounds history.

Each year, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience for the best fans in baseball, and this season is no different. We are excited to have renovated The County Club at The Band Box and replaced and repaired the turf of our signature 9-hole mini golf course in right field for all fans to enjoy.

This year marks our fifth consecutive season as the Triple-A affiliate of the reigning National League Central Division champions, the Milwaukee Brewers. On the field, Nashville was a crucial part of the Brewers’ success a year ago, with more than 30 players having played for the Sounds and Brewers last season. Fans can expect to see the same talent here that will be in Major League Baseball. I cannot wait to see how successful the 2025 season will be.

Thank you for your support and go Sounds!

Miz’s fastball tops 102, but another pitch may hold the key in Majors

Watching Jacob Misiorowski work for Triple-A Nashville this season has left no doubt that he’s a power pitcher in every sense of the word.

The Brewers’ top pitching prospect struck out a season-high 11 in his start on May 9 vs. Norfolk while topping 102 mph on his fastball -- the biggest velocity displayed by any starting pitcher in the Majors or Minors this season – until he topped it with a 103 mph fastball in his next start on his 78th pitch of the game. The elite extension he gets on his 6-foot-7 frame makes it appear even faster. If that wasn’t enough, he adds the best curveball in the Minors and a devastating low-90s slider.

But Misiorowski is turning in perhaps his best professional season yet -- as he’s risen to become MLB’s No. 72 prospect in MLB Pipeline’s latest update -- thanks in no small part to a softer fourth pitch: a changeup that he’s brought back into his arsenal.

Misiorowski has toyed with a changeup before, dating back to his days at Crowder (Mo.) Junior College, but it’s long been a work in progress. He would occasionally use it during his first three professional seasons, maybe once every four weeks or so.

Jeff Hem continues to serve as the “Voice of the Sounds” for the 2025 season. He enters his 14th year in Music City and his 22nd overall season behind the microphone.

In 2012, Hem arrived in Nashville with eight seasons and over 1,100 games professional baseball experience under his belt. He spent the previous seven season with the Single-A Kane County Cougars of the Midwest League, including 2009 when the Cougars, then an A’s affiliate, were managed by former Sounds skipper Steve Scarsone.

Career highlights for the 43-year-old include making his regular season Major League broadcast debut in June 2018 with the Oakland A’s for a doubleheader at the Chicago White Sox, being part of the radio broadcast team for the Triple-A All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio, in July 2018, and calling the inaugural game at First Horizon Park on April 17, 2015. While with the Cougars, he also enjoyed the opportunity to call two minor league games at Wrigley Field in Chicago and Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

His additional duties for the Sounds include sponsorship and corporate sales and performing public speaking engagements. In the offseason, Hem continues to call the play-by-play action for several college and high school games on television and radio.
