Lineup Includes: Asleep at the Wheel, Black Opry Revue, James McMurtry, The Jerry Douglas Band, Joshua Ray Walker, Miko Marks, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Rissi Palmer, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, Shemekia Copeland, Town Mountain, Watkins Family Hour and More.

Americanafest will showcase more than 200 artists and bands throughout notable venues in Nashville, TN. The destination event also features a first-rate industry conference, bringing together the top tier of the music business to discuss current industry topics and issues through insightful panels and workshops.

The week of festivities kicks off with the critically acclaimed Americana Honors & Awards, which celebrates Americana luminaries and welcomes the next generation of trailblazers while offering one-of-a-kind performance pairings at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium. Anniversary News:

The Grand Ole Opry honors member and legendary vocalist Gene Watson, celebrating his 60 years in the music business. During a performance on Friday, April 8, Dan Rogers, Vice President / Executive Producer, Grand Ole Opry, presented Watson with the plaque after his show-stopping rendition of his octave-jumping “Farewell Party” to commemorate his six decades as an artist.

Celebrating 60 years in the music business hasn’t slowed down Watson, who just announced his new album, Outside the Box, due out in fall of this year. The ‘singer’s singer’ has also added more dates to his 60th Anniversary Tour. More information at GeneWatsonMusic. com

Watson’s single “If It’s That Easy” was released to radio in 1962 via Sun Valley Records. Since then, he has charted 75 titles including 23 Top 10 hits, six No. 1 country singles and five No. 1 gospel records. The Texas native continues to perform to sold-out crowds, singing in the same key as he did more than five decades ago.
