here's a whole 'nother conversation going on In a parallel universe Where nothing breaks and nothing hurts There's a waltz playin' frozen in time Blades of grass on tiny bare feet I look at you and you're lookin' at me Could you beam me up, Give me a minute, I don't know what I'd say in it I'd probably just stare, happy just to be there, holding your face Beam me up, Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter, I think a minute's enough, Just beam me up Saw a blackbird soarin' in the sky, Barely a breath I caught one last sight Tell me that was you sayin' goodbye, There are times I feel the shiver and cold, It only happens when I'm on my own, That's how you tell me I'm not alone Could you beam me up, Give me a minute, I don't know what I'd say in it
I'd probably just stare, happy just to be there, holding your face Beam me up, Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter, I think a minute's enough, Just beam me up In my head I see your baby blues I hear your voice and I, I break in two and now there's One of me, with you So when I need you can I send you a sign I'll burn a candle and turn off the lights I'll pick a star and watch you shine Just beam me up, Give me a minute, I don't know what I'd say in it I'd probably just stare, happy just to be there, holding your face Beam me up Let me be lighter, I'm tired of being a fighter, I think, a minute's enough, Beam me up Beam me up Beam me up Could you beam me up

You’d never have let me feel pain. You are not to blame, that my life’s not the same.
You’d never have left your mum;
I just don’t want to let you go; my baby, your mumma’s holding you forever.
acky Boy, when did you leave us, why did you leave us, how did you go? I need to know.
You promised me since you were so young You’d hug me tight, you’d say Mum, it’s alright ... I’ll never go We’d shared laughter and grief as we breathed in and breezed thru in our lives together
My first born, scally wag; cheeky monkey, sleepless, restless, mischievous JackyBoy, This doesn’t feel real, It’s so surreal, I’ll need time to heal. The nights are the hardest; the days are too long. I’ve selfishly taken a lock of your hair so you’ll always be here with me. I’d know you’d be grumpy that I cut your hair ... your pride and joy of wear. You’re unique brand of truthfulness, your occasional ruthlessness, There was nothing you said that wasn’t true, You had your own brand of noisy, We always knew where you were. It was your silence that got us looking for you everwhere. Jacky, You wanted so much for us to
in gratitude sandey macfarlane follow your health - seeking footsteps - your healing, meditation, boxing and yoga and all things that were real I’m sorry, so bloody sorry ... sometimes I was too busy to do. You shunned a world which was fake or material Your ideals, hopes and dreams were simply, ethereal I love you my JackyBoy. Your beautiful smile, your amazing friends, No one can believe your journey’s come to an end. But today my boy, our story, just begins ... We’ll find you your justice and we’ll follow your spirit, we’ll be well on our way as of today. We’ll tread in your footsteps, we’ll hold your hand, we’ll honour your legacy as our main man. We will find the answers you didn’t give up, and then you’ll rest for ever in peace. Your job now is to trust us, we’ve got your back ... if you let us You are now one at earth, with the sun and the surf, you will be forever young.
You’re at peace with the world, with nature, your values We’ll sip from your cup your daily gratitude and chamomile tea. We’ll cherish our memories what was, is and might have been. We know that you loved us, and that sometimes that, that hurt We know that you sometimes doubted your worth Our world is poorer for your passing But your soaring free spirit is everlasting. You yearned for a special way for the world to be So you could stay, forever free You tried your best to be a leader to all mankind You were challenging and spirited, restless, soul-searching You were funny, complicated, deep and hurting. But you were mine. We may never know why you went away. Here you come my son, and it’s alright son, here me and your Dad come too.

acky boy I remember we were in the bathtub with bubbles A twinkle in ours eyes and a grin full of trouble Running water through the walkway As we made our sweet getaway All these times with you There’ll be no footsteps like your own, I’d like to think you’re always home, just a moment away The way you would light up the room, or play the fool, all these times of you Chorus Everytime the lights turn on in the house you helped make We’ll be thinking of your face Every time on the beach the waves will sing your name I know it’s not the same But I’d like to think you’re there In a dream far away Jacky boy you were my cousin Much like a brother You made so many friends on the way I thought we’d all be growing old together Watching our skin got weathered Reminiscing on those younger days You were a man of honest conversation
You said things as you wanted to say I guess in life you can’t choose the timing But your life was the silver lining For all those you met on the way Chorus
Everytime the lights turn on in the house you helped make We’ll be thinking of your face Every time on the beach the waves will sing your name I know it’s not the same But I’d like to think you’re there In a dream far away Jacky boy I’m thinking of you, we’re all thinking of you I want to know you’re safe I hope you’re surrounded by angels In a place of timeless weather and never ending days Chorus Everytime the lights turn on in the house you helped make We’ll be thinking of your face Every time on the beach the waves will sing your name I know it’s not the same But I’d like to think you’re there In a dream far away

Verse 1:
Well I’ve heard there was a secret chord,
That David played and it pleased the Lord, But you don’t really care for music, do ya? It goes like this, the 4th, the 5th, The minor fall and the major lift, The baffled king composing hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu------jah Verse 2: Your faith was strong but you needed proof, You saw her bathing on the roof, Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya, She tied you to her kitchen chair, She broke your throne and she cut your hair, And from your lips she drew the hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu------jah Verse 3: Well baby I’ve been here before, I know this room and I’ve walked this floor, I used to live alone before I knew ya. And I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch, And love is not a victory march, It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu------jah
Verse 4: There was a time when you let me know, What’s really going on below, But now you never show it to me do ya. Well remember when I moved in you, And the holy dove was moving too, And every breath we drew was hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu------jah Verse 5: Maybe there is a God above, But all I ever learned from love, Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew ya. And it’s not a cry you can hear at night, It’s not somebody who’s seen the light, It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu-jah Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelu------jah End.

Our most generous contributors, with the kindness of strangers, who made today possible; we’ve seen the best of humanity in such dark times. Our wonderful supporters: Shanti, Jackson’s first cousin & our niece who wrote, performed and sang her ode to our Jacky Boy. Naomi, our creative director, who nailed the project brief perfectly, created our beautiful momento, the programme guide, and captured Jackson so beautifully. Thank you. German, our talented singer & songwriter, with whom I’ve worked with for many years, and his brilliant team. Andrew, our funny and talented family friend and work colleague of more than 25 years who knew Jackson as a wee tot.
Our special friends Rodger and Adam, who helped us search for Jackson and the NSW police. Finally, my special thanks to my Mum, who has never left my side, and came with me to sit with my son, her grandson, last week to say our goodbyes. And to my brother Allen who visited Jackson’s final resting place to lay our flowers. We are humbled, we are proud and we are blessed to be with you all here today. Thank you.
