Erwin Leuschner The public is enraged and renewed calls are made for better controls and law enforcement to protect Namibia's kabeljou (cob) resource. That is after two ski-boat owners were caught redhanded in a matter of four days each having on board their boats close to three hundred cob. One of the owners, Christiaan Pienaar was arrested along with two others Johnisiu Lungameni and Anton Owo-Khaib. The trio made a first appearance in the Swakopmund magistrate's court yesterday and were granted bail of N$3 000 (Pienaar) and N$2 000. They are charged for

A patrol vehicle of the Namibian Police was wrecked in a collision on the intersection of 6th Street and 9th Road in Walvis Bay over the lunch hour yesterday. The driver of a Volkswagen Polo was reported skipped the stop street. The police officer driving down 6th Street could not stop his vehicle in time and it slammed into the vehicle from the left hand side. No one was injured.
