In a significant achievement, the Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has successfully obtained Aerodrome Certification for both Walvis Bay International Airport (WBIA) and Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA). The certification process, conducted in line with Namibia Civil Aviation Regulations (NAMCARs) Part 139 provisions, was completed last week, with certificates issued by the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The rigorous aerodrome certification process included
public consultation, evaluation of the aerodrome manual, on-site verification of facilities and equipment, as well as the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs).
