ABOUT ME

I am a 3 year architectural student passionate about designing meaningful, experiential spaces that connect people, and emotion. My work is rooted in spatial experience and storytelling, where architecture becomes a medium for memory and human connection. rd

This approach is reflected in my project Interconnected (Semoya), a makers studio for Helen Sebidi, exploring themes of journey, intersection, channelling, and transcendence. Where I translate these ideas into spatial experiences through movement, transformation, and layered thresholds.

Boitumelong Secondary School 2023

As a student, I am curious, reflective, and intentional in my design process. I strive to create architecture that is not only visually compelling but also deeply rooted in context, culture, and human experience. I am continuously exploring how design can foster connection between individuals, communities, and the stories that shape them

CUCINA LINEARI

ItalianDay competition - The kitchen as an Urban Pavilion (group work)

Cucina Lineari focuses on a strong linear layout defined by rigid, straight elements that create clarity and order within the space. This structured approach guides natural movement while maintaining clear visual connections throughout An open kitchen enhances transparency and trust, while the strategic arrangement of furniture encourages face-to-face interaction, fostering a welcoming environment that supports social connection and a strong sense of community.

MKPS is a seamless relationship between built form, landscape, and human experience. The design is composed of two architectural masses that intersect to form a central courtyard, creating a spatial threshold that encourages openness, interaction, and connection to nature. An arterial circulation spine organises movement across the campus, reinforcing visual continuity and intuitive wayfinding. Through the interplay of solid and void, as well as public and private spaces, the building fosters a balanced environment where learning, reflection, and engagement with the natural landscape coexist

INTER-CONNECTED

Interconnectedness is a spatial narrative inspired by the spiritual and ancestral artwork of South African artist Helen Sebidi The design translates her layered storytelling into architecture through staggered wall planes, material contrast, and a carefully choreographed journey of light Visitors enter through a dim, compressed passage that opens into a bright exhibition space, symbolising transcendence from shadow into illumination. At the core lies the artist’s studio an intersection of shipping container and timber structure representing the dialogue between artist and viewer, permanence and permeability. Slatted timber screens, glazing, and concertina doors filter and manipulate light, casting shifting patterns that animate the space while maintaining intimacy and sacredness
