InAlamedawearehavingissueswithmanagementrequiringcarrierstouseMercedesvehicles andPro-mastersarebeingusedfordismountroutes. Rodeocarriersarebeingtoldtousecode733whencasingmailwhichis improper. Thesupervisorwassupposedtodoastand-uponhowtoclockinontheappropriaterouteandwhatcodetousebut neverdid.Wefiledaconductcaseonthatsupervisor.
o EVP-NarcisoPaderanga InmyLafayetteofficetheyhiredtoomany PTF'sandarenowsendingthemtootheroffices. Inoneof myremovalcasesmanagementwantedproofthegrievantwaslookingforworkandthearbitratorruledthegrievantdidnothave toshowanysuchthing.Wegothimpaidanextra$1,000.00. LizCorrieaprovidedexcellenttestimonyand actedastheunion's witnessforacrossingcraftcaseinwhichweareaskingfor50%additionalpayplusanextra$50.00percarrieraspartofthe remedyrequestedAtmyCivicCenterstation.Thedistrictwasintherelookingforsomeonetoblameattemptingtocleanupalot ofpoliticalmailleftbehind. Ifthedistrict isIn youroffice,pleaselettheBranchknow. Anylettersofseparationissuedto probationarycarriersshouldbegrieved,sowecanverifytheyarestillonprobationwheninfactsometimestheyarenot. Ina similargrievancewegotacarrierpaid$4,000.00butunfortunately,heremainedunemployed.
o President-EdFletcher.ManagementsentanemailtotheNBA"s officeclaiming3carriersvolunteeredtoworkinOakland. After speakingtothestewardsandcarriersallthreesaidtheydidnotvolunteertogo. Itisourpositiontheyallneedtoreturntotheir employingoffices.Stewards,whenthishappens,pleasecheckwiththoseinvolvedtoseeiftheyactuallyagreedtogo. InOakland acarrierwasissuedaNORandwefifedagrievance,itwasappealedtoStepBreadytogototheORT. Amonthlaterthatsame carrierreceivedasocalled"NoticeofAdministrativeCorrection•forthesameallegedviolationswithmanagementattemptingto correcttheirposition,goodluckwiththat.PleasenotifyyourFTOwhenanemployeereceivesanythingoutoftheordinary.Once disciplinehasbeenissuedandagrievancehasbeenfiled,ttisingrievanceprocedure. Anythingthereaftermustbegrieved separatelyandbeverycarefulwhenmanagementstatesithasberescinded. Itcouldbedoublejeopardy.
o ThecommitteetofiUthe4"V.P. vacancywasaskedfortheirrecommendationandAprilPatrickwaspickedwiththecommittee thankingauthreecandidateswhoapplied. EdwardFletcheracceptedthecommittee'srecommendationandappointedApril Patricktofillthefourthvicepresident positionthroughthe2023-2025termofoffice.
