Your neighbourhood has been going through upgrades and enhancements behind the scenes. Check in on how we’ve been sprucing up the surroundings these past months.
Comfort Meets Cool
Summer calls for extra protection, so we’ve successfully completed the glass tinting process at the main entrance door. This not only helps reduce glare and heat from the direct sunlight but also keeps the staff and lobby area comfortable to use. And a bonus is that it also contributes towards our ongoing effort at being a sustainable building.
Additionally, in order to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality, air curtains were installed at the lobby entrance to maintain a stable indoor temperature by minimising the ingress of hot or cold air, dust and insects, thereby enhancing comfort for all who enter the building.
It’s the Year of Community, a time to strengthen bonds, foster unity and build inclusive neighbourhoods and Ahmed Mohammed is right at the heart of it all.

How it began?
I pursued facility management because I enjoy handson work and making a real impact. Starting with basic maintenance, my role grew to include preventive care, emergency response and contractor coordination. I've found communication and customer service are just as important as technical skills in supporting occupants and building operations effectively.
Recall a proud moment
One moment was when our team decided to install USB ports and wireless chargers in several common areas of the community. Not long after, I saw a video on social media where an occupant thanked the team behind it, saying how helpful it was - the video went viral. It made me feel genuinely proud that such a simple
improvement could have such a positive impact.
Your idea of ‘community’
It means caring for one another and creating a safe, respectful space where everyone feels at home. It’s about building connections, not just maintaining property. In the Year of Community, even small efforts like helping others or enhancing shared spaces make a big daily difference.
What people think you do v/s What you really do
Many think community or facility teams only receive complaints without acting. In reality, issues may take time due to safety checks or approvals, but they’re never ignored. Behind the scenes, we work hard to improve living experiences because we genuinely care about the community’s wellbeing.
Secret sauce for staying inspired
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, reading and playing video games. The gym helps me stay physically and mentally strong, reading keeps me curious and always learning, and video games are a fun way to relax and recharge.

Friendly Reminder Zone
As temperatures rise, let’s remember the hardworking service providers who keep our community thriving, often spending long hours outdoors under the sun. A simple gesture, like allowing a midday break when scheduling services around lunchtime and offering water when you see them working in the sun can make a big difference.
By showing kindness and consideration, we not only support their wellbeing but also strengthen the spirit of our community. Let’s ensure everyone who cares for our neighbourhood feels cared for in return.
Stub Out the Risk
Cigarette butts may seem harmless, but if not put out completely, they can start dangerous fires- especially when they land on furniture, plants or are tossed into garbage bins. Even a small spark can quickly turn into a big problem inside a building or on a balcony.
Here are four tips to remember for a safer disposal and a safer home.
PUT OUT your cigarette completely before throwing it away. Use an ashtray with water or sand to make sure it’s out.
NEVER TOSS a lit cigarette from your balcony or window. Wind can carry it onto furniture, plants or even another balcony, risking a fire.
THROW OUT
cigarette butts into designated bins when you are out and about.
KEEP FLAMMABLES
AWAY from balconies and windows. Don’t store cartons, wood, paper piles, paint cans, clothes racks or dried out plants in these areas.
Park it Right, Drive it Light
With every occupant out and about in the community, it's essential to practice good parking and driving habits to help keep our streets and neighbourhood welcoming and secure.
Designated Spots Only
Avoid blocking driveways, walkways and emergency access.
Observe Speed Limits
Drive slowly, avoid speeding up aisles and wait for barriers before proceeding.
Park Centred
Stay between the lines so others can park comfortably.
Respect Reserved Spaces
Avoid parking at spots for people of determination (if not applicable to you), emergency vehicles or EV charging.
Park Responsibly
It’s unsafe and unfair to neighbours. Ensure car lights are set to auto or on when in garage.
Stay Alert
Be mindful, especially when reversing or exiting your parking bay. Move slowly and use your mirrors to help keep everyone safe.

Championing Women’s Sports
Dubai Holding Community Management (DHCM) proudly served as Title Sponsor of the UAE Netball Cup 2025. The tournament welcomed six international teams, with Namibia taking the trophy and the UAE Falcons delivering a spirited performance.
