NEW DELHI, OCT 21 (AGENCIES): The Supreme Court on Friday expressed concern over growing incidents of hate speeches in the country and directed the governments and police authorities to take suo motu action in such cases without waiting for lodging of formal complaints. “Such action is needed to be taken to preserve the secular character of the country,” the top court said. The apex court warned any delay on the part of the administration in taking action on this “very serious issue” will invite the court’s contempt. “The Constitution of

districts at Nagaland Civil Secretariat here on Friday. In his brief remark prior to the flag off, Rupala said that the day was auspicious for both the State and the Country. He observed that the MVU, an initiative of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of the

people and livestock, was one of the biggest gifts to the nation post-independence. “I feel that with the launch of these MVUs, PM’s empathetic feeling towards the country and its residents would reach even the borders of the nation,” Rupala said. He asserted that the initiative had reached even the farthest parts of the country and was painting the picture of a new India. Lauding the chief minister for ensuring one MVU for each district of the state, Rupala said until now no such facilities were available to the people and therefore this was a big step towards the welfare of the people and their livestock.
