IMPORTANT INFORMATION Bookings Bookings are essential and will close on the Friday the week prior. Maximum capacity may be reached according to support ratios. To book, please email kidszone@nado.org.au or call NADO on 1300 738 229, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4 pm. Other instructions Please ensure children’s belongings are clearly labelled. All money / cards / vouchers greater than $20 is handed to the Team Leader/Coordinator at the 31 23 beginning of the program.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What is KidsZone? KidsZone is a fun, supported activity group for children and teens with disability. We help you feel confident, proud and happy to be yourself. You can share your thoughts, feelings and needs in your own way—we support many ways to communicate. We encourage kindness, empathy and problem solving in a respectful way. Your safety is important to us and socially inappropriate behaviours which cause harm to others will not be tolerated on program. We work together with families to give you the best support possible. At KidsZone, we believe in teamwork, respect and helping you grow, make friends, and have fun every time you come! When and where is pick-up and drop-off? You can drop off and pick up your child each Saturday at 40 - 42 Bruce Neale Drive, Penrith. Drop off is at 9am each morning and pick up is at 3pm each afternoon. What regular items should my child bring? Please ensure your child brings the below items for each activity: a hat sunscreen a water bottle packed lunch OR money to purchase lunch any other personal items they may need Some weeks there may be additional things that your child may need depending on the activity, this will be noted in this booklet. How much does the program cost? The activity cost comes in 2 parts, support staff costs and specific activity costs. For support staff costs, we follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. These costs vary depending on the support needs outlined in your child’s NDIS plan and are subject to change. Specific activity costs vary from one activity to another. These costs are outlined in the program booklets and cover transport along with admission fees, ticket prices, equipment hire etc. Does the NDIS pay for this program? The NDIS pays for the DSW who supports your child on the day, individual activity costs are not billed through the NDIS and need to be covered by you. At KidsZone, typically activities cost between $5 and $50. What happens if I need to cancel or am not able to attend on a specific date? As per our policy, any cancellations within 7 days of the activity will be charged via the NDIS funding. Activity costs will be charged where tickets have been purchased and cannot be refunded. If you need to cancel, please email kidszone@nado.org.au. What information/forms do I need to provide to sign my child up to NADO’s KidsZone? As per our policies at NADO, before booking into KidsZone each child must have a current and active Service Agreement, NDIS Plan, Client Profile or any relevant plan requested. Services will not be able to commence until all necessary documents are received. Please contact us if you are unsure about the status of your documents. Can I book my 1:1 child into KidsZone? Yes! However, 1:1 supports may be booked out sooner than maximum venue capacity to allow us to provide a high quality of care to all children.
SATURDAY 25TH OCTOBER PICNIC & PLAY @ CENTRAL GARDENS NATURE RESERVE Join us for a day of fun in the fresh air complete with games, sausage sizzle, drinks, fruit and friends! Get ready for a ghoulishly good time filled with spooky games and tasty treats - be sure to wear your favourite costume! Activity Cost: $15 Activity Address: Workers Blacktown (Diamond Showroom), 55 Campbell Street, Blacktown What to bring: Regular items (refer to FAQs on page 2).
SATURDAY 8TH NOVEMBER ARCADIA @ RICHMOND CLUB Explore a fun new world - play arcade games and complete a 15 hole mini golf course in an illuminated jungle!

SATURDAY 15TH NOVEMBER MOVIE DAY @ BLACKTOWN HOYTS
Enjoy sitting in a big comfy chair to watch a fun, newly released movie with friends! Activity Cost: $25 Activity Address: Westpoint Blacktown, 17 Patrick Street, Blacktown What to bring: Regular items (refer to FAQs on page 2).
SATURDAY 22ND NOVMBER AUBURN BOTANICAL GARDENS Explore and play your way through an accessible playground, scented garden, native rainforest garden, fauna reserve and bird aviary! Bounce, jump, flip and fly with friends at Flipout! Activity Cost: $35, includes 2 hours of bouncing. Activity Address: 14 St Martins Crescent, Blacktown What to bring: Regular items (refer to FAQs on page 2) as well as grip socks (if you don’t have some NADO will provide a pair).
SATURDAY 6TH DECEMBER CHRISTMAS CRAFTS AND MOVIE DAY

SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER SILENT DISCO END OF YEAR PARTY Let’s end the year with a bang at our silent disco - the perfect sensory-friendly way to celebrate another great year together!
