Facing climate change challenges like warmer winters, Monte Cimone's ski season and local economy suffer.
Our site spans from Passo del Lupo to Monte Cimone, featuring forests, streams, and Lago della Ninfa. It includes ski resorts, hotels, and mountain lodges. During our visit, we noted infrastructure shortcomings and off-season tourism decline. This highlights the need for sustained year-round attractions, even beyond snowy seasons.
To combat this, we propose improving road networks connecting nearby 6 towns like Fanano and Fiumalbo. This creates a mobility ring linking to cultural centers: Passo del Lupo, Le Polle, Doccia del Cimone, and Cimoncino. Each center offers unique hospitality and cultural experiences. Additionally, we suggest developing hiking trails for all levels, showcasing the region's diversity. This approach aims to transform Monte Cimone into a year-round destination.
