Pre- School

Pre-Primary Years Years: 1998 - 2000 Ages: 4-6 Types of Art: Crayon Drawings

It usually starts off with scribbling and stick figures.. well thats for the normal but clearly as shown in my illustrations as a young pre-schooler, at the age of 5, I could understand and control my scribbles and infact turn them into art pieces which make sense. My teachers and peers knew I wasn’t like everyone else when it came to drawing.

My art could tell a story from Day One.

The picture above is probably the first pirate picture I’ve ever drawn. I find it pretty tidy for the art of a toddler.

This is a picture of my family at the beach, my little sis and I building sand castles and the whole family catching the waves in the water

Pre- School

It might be all scribbly but you can see clearly a picture of a person, not just a stick figure but rather the hands, nails, legs, arms all drawn into shapes and used to build a human figure.

Primary School

Primary School Foundation Phase Years: 2001-2003 Ages: 7-9 Types of Art: Pencil and Roll-up Crayon Drawings

By the end of Grade one all the teachers had acknowledged my talent and I had even won a competition and got my drawing of “Baby Jesus and the three wise men” on the cover of the Nativity and Prize-Giving booklet (I’m not even christian! How’d I know what to draw?) Even Mother Mary and Joseph is in this picture.... I’d also have taken the art Awards from this moment onwards.

“Long Live the King” Looking at this image of the King being brutally murdered as he approaches his thrown could somewhat symnolize my early love for Power.

Primary School Pre- School The above picture was my first drawing of money! And yeah we all love money and uptil today i find such creativity and art in our money, I still do art on money. I guess I’m a natural born hustler.

I drew this picture in Grade 2, of a scorpion hissing. Little did I know later on in my life I’d get Stung by a scorpion!

This little bugger had me hospitilized!

This is an image off a camel relaxing in the dessert , with a tree in the background. My teachers comments on this was “Thank you for Spoiling me”.

Primary School

Primary School Middle Phase Years: 2004-2005 Ages: 10-11 Types of Art: Pencil and Roll-up Crayon Drawings, Pastels

In 2004 I’d say I got really inspired and learnt alot of techniques in what I do. My grade 4 Teacher Mrs. Rodney knew I had a gift.

Something special. She motivated me and always told me to pursue my artistic talent.

On the right is a Self Portrait of me drawn with roll ups.

At the Top Left is a picture of a Manchester United player celebrating his Goal. My passion for Football still remains. I still play Fifa on a daily and I am a die hard United Fan.

Above is a drawing of my best friend at the time, Mpumelelo Mhlongo. He was always a sporty chap. “Goal for the Girls” and also a Gentleman. Mpumi now Runs for South Africa in the Paralympic Tournaments On the next page is a Pastell drawing on a Chief Red Indian. With the feathers and the tomahalk.

Primary School Senior Phase Years: 2006-2007 Age: 12-13 Types of Art: Pencil and Roll-up Crayon Drawings

Towards the end off my Primary School era I really did excel in my artistic Nurture.

I’ve become more Elegant in the way I sketched as you can see below.

The Skater

I’ve also become used to Roll-ups as you can see in the Above images of the Loch Ness Monster and the pirate who does look alot like Jack sparrow now that I look at it.

These were done in my Grade 6 and 7 Class room books.

Primary School Pre- School

By the end of Grade 7 My Artistic Talent had not gone unrecognized. People were always viewing my art and I had began to win alot off competitions I had taken the Stevens Cup which is basically the Art Award for Sarnia Primary. In the year 2007 my name is engraved and will live there forever.

High School

High School Senior Phase Years: 2008-2012 Age: 14-18 Types of Art: Pencil sketches, Ballpoint pen, Markers

I attended Wingen Heights Secondary from 2008-2012. Although the school did not offer art as a subject I still did alot off drawings in my spare time. I drew alot off Cartoon figures like the Scooby- Doo and Mojo Jojo picutres Below I also did take it up a notch by drawing alot of human figures like the Ronaldo and Messi Portraits on the right.

More advanced techniques was used in the shading and sketching. All off which was self taught.

On the right is a Caricature drawing of me and my dear friend Carl who also was a really good artist, We both ended up studying together as well.

High School Pre- School

The details are finer the Drawings are more prominent I feel safe to say that Carl and I had known what we would like to do with our lives Way before we finish school.

We both had this Mad talent and was really passionate about it.

High School The liquor store sketch above was done out off my head. Portraying a Begger Robbing a Gangster for his money, so that he can go and purchase more alcohol.

High School

The rest off the sketches are pretty self explainatory. The joker Card , The picture of “Me against the World”. and the Sketch of Rihanna was all done whilst in class while the teacher cannot see what’s going on.

Also the Bottom of the previous page is a GTA Sketch of the Ballad of Gay Tony.

By the end off high school I what I needed to Study so I applied for it.

Tertiary Education

CFAD (Fine art) 1st, 2nd & 3rd Year Years: 2013-2016 Age: 19-21 Types of Art: Mixed Media (chalk, charcoal ,paint and even digital)

My sketching technique has really gotten advanced as you can see above and on the Next page the detail in my sketches.

Below is a Pop Art version of Miley Cyrus in the Marilyn Monroe form given by Andy Warhol from the United Kingdom.

The Centre for Fine Art animation and Design is where I practically learnt the finesse in my artwork.

This for me was the best part of my education as we did an in-depth form of study into the modern artistic world.

Tertiary Education Pre- School

As I study deeper and deeper into the artistic Life, the realer and realer the Imagery becomes.

Below we use the Positive and negative spaces to draw hands. Chalk on black paper and Charcoal on white paper.

This technique enhances Sketching as well as understading negative space.

Tertiary Education

CFAD (Fine art) Half of me half Mind-Blown This sketch done using a mirror and a pencil is now a living art piece. On the right is the Watercolor off the Eye of Rose.

We also got familiar with color pencil and watercolor paintings. The picture of eminem is done to Detail using color penicls. See the depth of the zoom in the tattoo image below.

Tertiary Education At the end of our 2nd year of campus , doing Fine art, Animation and Graphic Design, We had to choose which off the 3 we would like to Enhance our education in. Ofcourse I chose Graphic design. See below the Sketch brought to Life Digitally using Photoshop.
