gain this year many young brothers and sisters received their Confirmation blessing throughout our district. It is wonderful to see these children so appreciative and sincere in their faith and accepting their new responsibilities as they spiritually “come of age”. As ministers, we can be truly proud of our young ones who take Confirmation seriously and also of the parents and teachers who support and teach them the value of all the opportunities that God provides and that their church involvement offers. Our Chief Apostle consistently refers to “encouraging the Confirmands to put their abilities and talents to work for the Lord” every time he writes to

them. This is a wonderful encouragement and we, as ministers in the congregation, must do our part to support this by ensuring we offer opportunities to the young ones to become involved.

s m e t I News 28 April Ordinations Evangelist Bryce Diaz was relieved from his responsibilities as Rector of Wellington and Priest Charles Kaluwasha was commissioned as the new Rector. Brothers David Oldham and Keith Pretorius were ordained as Deacons. Confirmation During the same service (28/4), Apostle Trevor Williams confirmed Tammaryn Venter who pledged her faithfulness to God by reciting the Confirmation Vow.

Word of the Month The Lord will acknowledge those who hold to Him Jeremiah once received the following message from the Lord: “Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘If you return, then I shall bring you back; you shall stand before Me’” (cf. Jeremiah 15: 19). Read full WOM online ...

To commence this process, many will have to be asked, as waiting for ones to volunteer at such an age could be a futile exercise. I wish you much success in fully utilising the abilities and talents present in your congregation which are offered by willing children of God for the furtherance of His great work. Brotherly yours,

Andrew H. Andersen
